Swagger & Blade is a traditional barber shop with a rustic feel and a modern touch. Owner and Master Barber, Shane Bruno, served a 4-year stint in the United States Army 82nd Airborne division, Shane officially pursued a career in the tonsorial arts. A cool fun place and vibe.

Had to drop a couple stars. Price was a bit high for my tax bracket @$30 for cut, style & straight razor; now they've gone up to $40 but adding a wash to help justify the increase. $30 was about my upper boundary, almost a splurge. Great place, top-notch talent, but plenty other places out there. I'll have to leave it to the Starbucks crowd to fork over the big bucks.read more

My son has extremely thick, coarse, straight hair. Any mistake is very noticeable. Tommy does a great job and is very patient. My son is autistic and fidgets a lot. Yet his hair always looks great when we walk out. Just wish it was a little cheaper.read more

Prices might be high, but this truly is a "you get what you pay for" type of situation. Every time I get shaped up I got numerous compliments about my hair. The barbers are all legit and the vibe in the place is great. Fair warning it is a barber shop, you might hear a couple of cush words. Also, definitely want to book an appointment through their website. They are usually so busy they don't have too many spots open for walk-ins. Also, Tommy is the best.read more

I am 76 years old and with the virus going around I wasn't able to get into my favorite place , Swagger and Blade but as soon as they opened I made an appointment and got my hair and beard cut. I recently had a hair cut done by Jack at the Wanamassa shop and I couldn’t have been more happy. The ambiance of the shop itself makes me feel like I’m staying at a cozy cabin and the staff makes me feel like all my friends are there. Jack is undoubtedly a master at his craft. Most barbershops today are about turnover - they make you look good for a day or two and get you out of the chair in 10-15 minutes. This place is completely different. Each barber is a skilled craftsmen who makes sure every hair is cut to it's perfect length. They'll spend 45 minutes on you making sure your cut will look good for weeks.read more

This place is hands down fantastic. I have had a beard for 8 years and typically grow it out and maintain it along with my hair myself. Once or twice a year my beard and hair needs a professional trim to reset (split ends/breakage/transparency) and this is the only place I go. This time I had Amber, and she did an outstanding job. She took her time, and even gave recommendations as to what hair/beard style would look best. She was very knowledgeable about everything hair and beard wise. Sometimes, having a large beard can be intimidating for some places; not this place. I may not go as often as many, but for as few times as I can, I always leave looking and feeling great! I’ve been going to these guys religiously for about 8yrs now. They bring back the old school barbershop feel with fresh cuts and most of all conversation that gets the whole shop involved! I arrived 15min early to an appointment I thought had had scheduled. Unfortunately, I was there on the wrong day and someone else walked in with the same appointment time. I made a mistake and apologized and was going to leave.But then Shane asked if I’d be ok with sitting with another Barber, Chris, who had a break in between appointments. Chris was able to give me a cut and a beard shape up without making me feel like I inconvenienced him, which I may have, and he did exceptionally well. Classic barbershop that's Veteran owned, with a cool, vintage vibe and style, providing excellent and friendly service. The shop is always clean. The barbers are talented craftsmen amazing me each time I get my haircut...and by the haircuts they give others.
