Description
Swagger & Blade is a traditional barber shop with a rustic feel and a modern touch. Owner and Master Barber, Shane Bruno, served a 4-year stint in the United States Army 82nd Airborne division, Shane officially pursued a career in the tonsorial arts. A cool fun place and vibe, with awesome decor. On nice days the front of the shop is left open.

My 8 year old son and I have been here twice, both times with different barbers, and I can't say enough good things about this place. He now no longer wants to go anywhere else, he feels confident when he gets out of the chair, and the last cut he had lasted several months, with him wanting to style it daily to keep it up. I'm a bit easier to please but I've loved the cuts I've gotten, and my wife is ecstatic as well, so I guess that's the best review I could hope for!read more

The guys at Swagger & Blade are "Good-Fellas". They take pride in and are focused in their craft. I love being around the young bloods, getting grooming tips and picking up some swagger style. I have been going to Swagger & Blade in Asbury Park for about 3 months now, and I have to give 5 Stars for the killer work Vinny does for my hair - he has been carefully styling and cutting the way my hair is supposed to be, and he gives me the confidence to take on that risky style that I’m not used to. First time at S&B yesterday and could not have been more pleased. First off the shop has a great vibe and the staff is very friendly and courteous. More importantly, Vinnie did an incredible job on my hair . His attention to detail is impeccable. I’m 67 , so I can’t wear what the younger guys do but Vinnie hooked me up with a style that was different for me but still age appropriate. I haven’t liked a haircut like this for years. This is not just a place to get a cut. The guys at Swagger and Blade have become like family to my husband and son. Tommy who cuts them both is skilled, friendly and great with all ages. My husband usually goes with my son, but on the off chance I go all the guys in the shop know me and make conversation. If you are looking for an old school Barbershop feel with barbers that know what they are doing, then look no further. Now I can only speak for my barber, "Dave" but he did a great job. I went in for a beard trim and a haircut and gave him a simple idea of what I wanted and he did a great job. He envisioned my style and brought it to life. Ive been coming to these guys for almost three years. I personally use my guy Jake, awesome barber just like the rest of the crew always spinning out fire. Once I get my cut I always get asked “ where’d you get that cut? If you want to look good and never have anxiety sitting in the chair, this is place. First time at S&B this past Monday during a summer stay at the shore. Vinny gave me the best haircut I had ever had. He listened and added his input. My whole family loves it and I couldn’t be more pleased. I live 60 miles away and plan to be back regularly after the summer. This haircut is worth the trip. Went to swagger and blade after a few awful COVID cuts. Vinny was able to turn the mess into probably the best haircut I’ve ever had. Nothing comes close to this barber shop on the jersey shore. I have literally tried them ALL, took me a while, but I finally found THE place to get your hair cut. The best barber I've been to, period. First time appointment was for beard tune up and haircut. I just made an appointment for anyone and Drew was my barber. Paid the most attention to detail I've seen and gave me easily the best hair cut I've had; the beard came out great too. As well, the appointment said it would start and end in 45 minutes, and it was actually that amount of time. I'm from North Jersey and I'll be driving the 50 minutes down when I need a cut for this place.read more
