Scout’s Barbershop in Nashville, TN (Wedgewood) combines quality and convenience, giving you fresh cuts at affordable prices in friendly and welcoming environments. Founded in 2013, we were the first unisex barbershop in Nashville and have grown to have several locations in Franklin, Sylvan Park, Germantown, Wedgewood-Houston, and the Gulch.

We love Scouts Wedgewood Houston! I take my 3 yo son for his haircuts and the entire staff is so friendly and accommodating, we couldn’t ask for a better experience. Samantha at the front desk even overheard my son mention AC/DC was his favorite band and started playing Thunderstruck for him while he was getting his hair cut, it made his day! We’ve seen Emily, Heather and Erin and they all did a wonderful job. Highly recommend!!read more

**UPDATE: Toni the manager contacted me super fast and accommodated me to get my haircut evened up so I added back some stars. I do think my experience was probably not typical, everyone has their off days.--I really hate leaving bad reviews, especially when it seems like my experience may have been a one off, but I've been mulling this over for 2 weeks and I just can't get past it. When I came in I asked for "about shoulder length". My hair was a little longer than shoulder length (see last pic), we never discussed how many inches to take off. I also showed a picture of the cut/style of layers I wanted (second to last pic is the one I showed her). She never asked any other questions or communicated what she was doing during the cut, and she didn't turn me to see a mirror until the very end of the cut. She kept going on about how damaged my hair is from bleaching (fine, but I haven't bleached my hair in over 6 months). My hair condition led her to make the decision to cut layers "different than she normally would" which she only told me after she finished the cut and showed me in the mirror. The cut was shorter than I wanted, uneven, and the layers are choppy at best.read more

Typically, as a walk in, you’re not always sure what to expect but the warm greeting from Samantha set me at ease. I have been going to Scout’s for a few years now, after having some trouble with keeping a single other barber before that. I really like that I can call and get an appointment next day without a problem. The complementary water and beer might seem silly to some, but it’s great at the end of the work day when I usually go get my haircut. All the stylists I’ve had are great and very patient with me as I struggle to describe how I like my hair.read more

Had a great time and got a great cut! Ashland was so kind and sweet and knowledgeable. I have very curly hair and it's always a bit of a stress to find someone who knows how to cut curly hair or who won't upcharge the haircut because I have curly hair (it's insane that that's a thing!!) but Ashland knew what she was doing and I paid the same amount as everyone else! Emily is fantastic! She has been cutting my hair for years now, and she is the best at what she does. She is willing to give advice and suggestions on styling and works hard to fulfill whatever look you desire. I followed her to Scout's from where she worked before, and it has been a great move. I've been going to Scouts since I first moved to Nashville in 2018. At first, it was the vibe that kept bringing me be back: great music, friendly staff, comfy seating, drinks while you wait. When they opened the Wedgewood Houston store, I went to check it out and that's when I met Emily! We immediately clicked and she's the only person I want cutting my hair now. She remembers exactly what I want, which is great because I've always struggled with giving directions during a haircut. Now, instead of worrying over how my crazy curls will turn out before that big meeting, we get to spend the entire time laughing and catching up. I hesitate to write a review about Scouts, and specifically Emily Escue, because I don’t want her to get so busy that I can’t get an appointment. But I’ve been coming here for a couple years now, and Emily has been my stylist for a little over a year, and let me tell you, she is an expert at her craft. She does the best bald fade and consistently gives me an amazing haircut. Shes got a great personality and is an amazing person. Decent cut. The barber was nice and getting a water is a benefit.That said, my guess is he spent 15 min total on my 30 min haircut. We started late and ended early. There was no offer to wash my hair, or put product in it at the end to style it. Most of the cut was just the trimmer on the side - little scissor work.Overall, it’s a cool spot and an ok spot for a cut when you need one, but it felt more like going to a friend’s house who cuts hair on the side if you need a cut in a pinch. If you spend more elsewhere, there’s a good chance you’ll get a better quality cut and experience. If you spend less, I’m not sure.read more

I’ve been going to the Scout’s on Lindell Ave since July 2021 and Emily Escue has been my go-to stylist since Nov 2021. For the past two years, Emily has been one of the best barbers I’ve ever had. Friendly people, cool vibes, but an average or below average haircut. It almost felt like the person cutting my hair was trying to get it done as fast as possible 😬 I didn't look at the clock to their credit, but it felt like maybe 20 minutes. I would give the haircut a 6/10. The prices are pretty normal for nowadays, but feel a little overpriced based on the quality I received. I appreciate the kindness of the people and the overall culture of the shop.read more

It looked decent when it was still wet and honestly I didn’t check like I should have but also I wasn’t offered a mirror to look at the back but the guy who cut my hair sped through the process which is what I get for coming in at the end of the day I suppose but he did not fade in the sides and back with the clippers and its a very blunt line where the lengths of my hair separate. It looks terriblbe. This guy should not be cutting hair professionally.

The stylists are super kind, attentive and helpful even if I am just buying product. I also enjoy the environment from the style and my favorite thing being the swing chair which is comfortable to wait in before and after my appointment!
