Scout’s Barbershop in Nashville, TN (Gulch) combines quality and convenience, giving you fresh cuts at affordable prices in friendly and welcoming environments. Founded in 2013, we were the first unisex barbershop in Nashville and have grown to have several locations in Franklin, Sylvan Park, Germantown, Wedgewood-Houston, and the Gulch.

Jacqueline Torres was my stylist, and she did a phenomenal job, true master of her craft!Competence: 5/5 she’s incredibly focused and pays attention to detail. She shook my head like a joystick and got every hair in line like a Hair Stylist Drill Instructor! Just kidding, she’s gentle but well measured.Professionalism: 5/5 wonderfully smooth from the desk to the chair. Thankfully, I had already booked online, but was in-and-out without hang-ups. I’m ok with criticism, and Jacqueline gently told me what looked best. She was right! I told her what I wanted and she made it look better than I’d hoped.Friendliness: 5/5 Jacqueline improved my overall experience with Scout’s Barbershop as a brand. When you watch an artist that’s conversational engage with you it’s refreshing. I’ll be back to this location just for her from here on out.read more

All around excellent experience! I'm not a local so when I randomly walked in off the street I had no idea what to expect. Immediately, I was smacked in the face (in a good way) with a cozy atmosphere and the classy decor of the shop. Ever been smacked in the face with something cozy? Well come on in to this fine barber shop and you'll know what I mean. It's delightful. Anyways, I was welcomed by the staff right away as well. The receptionist was very helpful in getting me an appointment as soon as possible. I believe it was Ashley who cut my hair, and she did an exquisite job on my fade. She was friendly and conversational, as well informative during the cut. I've had many haircuts in my 26 years on this round ball (yes it's spherical, go away flat earthers), but this was easily one of the best experiences and cuts I've gotten. 11/10 would recommendread more

I’ve gone to this Scouts location as well as the Germantown location going on four years now. I love the atmosphere and the stylists. Amelia was mine today and she was incredible. Admittedly I didn’t give her much direction, but she ran with it and nailed it. She has an incredible personality as well. My normal stylist, Faith, at Germantown, is also amazing. This was my first time visiting Scouts and the experience was great! I was able to quickly book an appointment online with prices clearly listed. Jacquelyn cut my hair and did a great job! She was very knowledgeable with the type of cut I had and pointed out several things I hadn’t known about hair cutting styles. She held a great conversation and wasted no time. I went here for my first haircut in a long time and the entire staff was welcoming and comforting, from the receptionist, Bella, to Amelia that gave me the best haircut I've ever had. I get my hair cut at Scout’s Barbershop and I am thoroughly impressed by the speed and efficiency of the service. I am always in and out in no time, and the result is exactly what I want. My hair is weirdly difficult to cut, if it isn’t done right it looks good at first but then grows in weird on the top and sides. I haven’t been able to find anyone in Nashville to cut it right in four years, until I booked with Ashley Wilkerson in the Gulch. I just show her a picture and she 100% nails it every single time - not to mention she’s funny as hell, pays attention to every detail, and always makes it a great experience. I don’t think I really, truly, understand what it meant to be a man until I went to Scout’s Barbershop in the Gulch and got my hair cut by lead stylist extraordinaire, Sam Capasso. A friend recommend Scout’s, so I checked it out and did my research (aka looked up/stalked a few stylists instagrams to see their work) and Sam seemed to have potential to pick up what I would - eventually, be putting down so I decided to book an appointment. I was nervous going to my first appointment in a new city (I had just moved to nashville, had no friends and had trust issues with my hair), but Sam was immediately hilarious, comforting, personable, and warm (that might’ve also been the shave cream he used on the back of my neck). I felt relieved to have instantly found one of the things I was dreading most about moving…finding a barber.Since then, Sam has taken my hair, and my style to a whole new level. I started off with the classic slick-backed, fade on the sides, Brendan-Urie-Panic-At-The -Disco, hipster bowl-cut, and Sam has slowly but more than surely, helped me transition to a business up front, party in the back, buzzed on the side, mullet/Mohawk situation. I feel like I can join the Lost Boys, I’m getting close John Stamos mullet level, my mom said I looked like Patrick Swayze (I used to get told I looked like an “idiot” normally so this is a big improvement). Not only is my head turning more freely due to the improved aerodynamics, but everyone around me’s heads are ALSO turning getting many compliments and wearing confidence like its never going out of style.Posting a picture from a photo shoot I did about 6 months ago (it was for an underwear company but I don’t want to post the underwear pictures because I don’t want this to get flagged or something, I also prefer to remain humble - just kidding, or maybe I’m not, you decide - also no idea why I decided to pose this way but the photographer said it was “cool”, I don’t know though, the photographer was also buying cigarettes for kids I think who may or may not have been underage at the gas station which is not very cool if you ask me). My hair has much more party happening in the back rn but this pic was taken one day after Sam cut my hair.Thank you Sam and thank you Scout’s for the comfort and boost in confidence. Scout’s The Gulch offers a relaxing atmosphere to take a mini-spa day. The staff always warmly greets me and offers me a beverage and gets me checked in for my appointment.Sam is my go-to stylist. Full of charm and knowledge of the classics and latest trends, he listens to my ideas and guides me to handsome cut. It was the year of our Lord, 2020. As a result of the pandemic, unkempt hair ravaged the land. Just as all hope was lost, a hero emerged from the shadows. His name? Sam Capasso. Sam has been cutting my hair since 2020, and he is the only reason I go to this barbershop. I have followed this man across three different barbershops, and I will continue to follow this man to the ends of the Earth. The only downside to Sam being my Barber over the years is that people are finally starting to recognize his worth, which means I now have to pay him more money to cut my hair. The lady that cuts my hair is Amelia Fusco. I went in and told her to make me look good with full trust in her. She gave me the most professional mullet I have ever seen. I have since been approached by many people with great compliments.
