The goal of Hone & Strop Barber and Brand Co. is to provide a professional and enjoyable environment so that the weekly haircut is not merely a task, but an experience. It's an environment where you can safely bring any member of your family without having to worry about language or the barbers being too distracted while cutting your hair. Each client receives a quality cut. Walk-ins welcome, but appointments preferred.

Best barbershop in the valley! I've been roaming free for the past few years looking for a good Barber since my old Barber went MIA. On a hunch and from reading so many good reviews I figured I'd give it a shot finally since my friend went here before his wedding so it can't be bad. Glad I did, went to see my boy James and he did an amazing job. I've had this one picture that I've been showing my barber's for years and everyone was a miss one came close but not close enough. James got it spot on, my wife even approved which is obviously a good thing hahaha. I will be coming here from now on I'm also bringing my son here. It's a great shop with a clean atmosphere and a level of professionalism you only see in movies. Keep up the good work guys!read more

I've been here twice. The first time was at least 6 months or more ago and it was the best haircut I've had since wearing the hairstyle I like. I didn't return since only bc it ain't entirely cheap but keep reading....Yesterday I went to a local barber in center city (thatshall remain nameless)who has previously cut my hair decently in the past as well but over time became inconsistent. I had a bad feeling 2 mins after I sat down. He started to trim my beard down I said "a little" but if I didn't catch him in time he was was using a clip that would've cut my entire beard nearly to the skin. I just got up out of his chair and walked out. Called H&S and explained that I was a dummy and went to a terrible barber and needed it fixed quickly. The guy on the phone told me to come in and see Charles and I did. Charles took fantastic care of me. Was incredibly thorough asking questions to make sure he fully understood what I was after and what he was doing. Listen, some of us men are incredibly picky and detail oriented about certain things and I am one of them. I own a men's custom tailoring business and I have a very keen eye for detail. Longer story made short, this place earned my business loyalty and as long as the guys here can be consistent each time I get my haircut, I will gladly spend the slightly more than center city garbage barber prices and solve my haircutting conundrum once and for all. I have been thru so many barbers and most think that we want to be rushed thru in and out like clockwork. Although there is something to be said about a barber who is fast and efficient, if the haircut ain't right it's a waste of my time no matter how fast they are. The way I look esp for business is very important to me because I sell an improved image to grown professional men. Don't waste your time or money with other dumb barbers. Go here and rightly get what you pay for. Trust me on this one. Thank you Charles you saved my Nye style by giving me one of the best haircuts I've had in a long long time. Hands down single best place to get a cut in the area. Prices are fair and I never leave disappointed. I've gotten a cut from 3 of their barbers and each one did an equally phenomenal job. The barber I go to the most, Eddie, even came in early on his day off to make up for having to reschedule due to legitimate personal things to attend to. He even offered to give me the cut for free, I declined and paid him anyway but it was a gesture you don't see too often.read more

They have no front desk worker which makes it awkward to arrive and pay. The haircut depends on the barber. No matter what haircut you ask for, Justin will cut it the way he wants. He chopped a chunk way too short right at the cowlick, not cool. Louis, who no longer works there, is a true hair artist.read more

I’ve been using the same barber almost my whole life, I hate change especially when I’m happy with something. Met Jack outside of his barber shop, pretty chill guy, kept telling me to try his barber shop. I agreed, reluctantly. I got to the shop and could tell right away I was going to have a good experience, I was comfortable, professional setting, and Jack was ready. I got my cut and I loved it. Jack was great to talk to, easy going, sports banter back and fourth, and it felt “homey”. And the cut was great I can’t say enough about Jack and H&S barber shop.read more

I booked with Charles, easy online booking, owner was super friendly and have me info when I walked in. Place was clean and everyone is friendly. These are real craftspeople/artist, he listened to the way I wanted my hair and nailed it. I have been growing it for three years and was nervous but not anymore. Been getting my haircut by the owner for over 15 years since before opening his own shop. When he opened this shop his goal was to take everything he loved about the barber culture and turn it into something even more. This shop is more than a haircut, it's an experience. More importantly it's an experience for people of all ages and genders. Women and children can feel safe and comfortable without worrying about vulgar language or nonsense. My youngest 5 year old son has been coming to this shop since he was a few weeks old and looks forward to coming along every time whether it's for his own haircut or to join for mine. Anybody that I've ever brought to the sop has become a regular. Every barber is talented. All a step above the rest. And they all give back to the community. This shop is 2nd to none!!!read more
