Great reception, service, and outcome. We visited this barbershop by chance since my brother and I had stayed on Grove St during our travels to NYC. We are satisfied and encourage others to give it a try. The prices (higher than usual) are reasonable for such an expensive location. & Make an appointment before you go!read more

This place is amazing. Everyone does a great job. The inside is comfortable and stylish. Felicia has been my favorite barber so far. Consistent results, extremely detailed and really nice. Expect to spend around $55 dollars minimum with a decent tip, but if you want a stellar hair cut, this is the place to go.read more

They give great haircuts everytime. It's a bit pricey, but truthfully, you gotta expect it to be. I've gone to 2 of the barbers and my fiance has gone to 4 of them, and all give awesome cuts and have great personalities. The space has got some great character also.read more

Excellent barbers. Friendly staff. Can get pricey but it comes with the talent. Excellent location too. I like their online scheduling portal. Cancelling is through call only though which can be a bummer if u are in between places and have to cancel an appointment but if u can call then staff is quick and friendly.read more

If you’d like an accurate rating from this barbershop look on yelp because the google reviews seem to be BS1st Visit Very professional and great relaxing music. Dion cut my hair exactly how I wanted. Definitely returning just a bit pricey haircut cost $60 Gave it 5 stars2nd visit barber was Felicia was told I didn’t book my haircut properly was told I had a dry scalp, that I smelt and to leave mid haircut with one of the worst customer service experiences ever and nothing close to what I asked for very unprofessional barber. Good shop in heart of downtown JC. Good vibe. Def 5 stars depending on who you get. (Do make note of the Irregular staff and high prices for sometimes 15min cut).

Went there for to get my haircut for first time today. Dion was there to greet me on time and was very professional. He understood my requirements perfectly and did a great job. He also did some adjustments I had asked for later to my full satisfaction.Everyone wore masks and they had sanitizers available. Appointment system ensured that shop wasn't packed.Overall 5 star experience for me and I'll be back next month!read more

Yesterday (October 12, 2021) was my first time at ETIKAT and from the moment I walked in I definitely felt welcomed. My barbers name is LEO and was able to execute the haircut so precisely on what my son and I wanted. I came here last minute cause my barber a few blocks aways was busy for a last minute cut. Great hair cut. I don't recall the lady who cut my hair but she was Wonderfull. My only issue is the price. I pretty much pay half the price at my guy and get a beer when I walk in the door. I also think the place should be cleaner and not have so much hair everywhere, especially in the bathroom.read more

I always come here when my regular barber isn’t available. This place is really reliable. Every haircut has been excellent, and in fact better than where I usually go. Also appointment availability is great even last minute.The only downside is the price which is much higher than other barbers, but the upside is you are practically guaranteed a great cut.Would recommend.read more

I had been going here regularly with a specific barber who did a nice job. When I booked (my last) appointment last week I said my barber's name 3 or 4 times during the process (the employee booking the appointment also did), but I was booked with someone else. Considering this is an extremely expensive barber shop that wasn't ok to lie to me and just book me with someone else without my knowledge. I also trekked in from Manhattan so I ended up wasting a couple hours of my weekend for nothing.read more

Been here twice now to get skin fades and been really happy with the results both times and with the experience. I booked with John Pacheco both times and I like his style as I am not one that loves conversation when going to a barber. He is friendly but focused on the task and I enjoy that. Etiket is the best. I think I've tried every barber and my cut is always top tier. Some shops have a few good people, but everyone here is of the highest quality. They can use a trimmer but will also do a full scissor cut to perfection. That's the test. Beautiful layering. Tapers. Blends... you won't be disappointed, I never am.read more

Now that I've started coming here, I don't think I could ever cheat on my barber. I started coming to Etiket a few months ago and every time they knock the ball right out of the park with my haircut & beard trim. Every time I come I make sure to with either John or Jason, equally both masters of fades and beard trimming. The experience is always a 10/10, especially with the hot towel shave, no lie it makes me feel like a new person. I know a lot of people in the reviews say that cuts here tend to be on the pricier side but it is absolutely worth it. I'd definitely recommend coming here.read more

Dion is fantastic and never disappoints on my haircuts! I travel an hour every week to Jersey City for him to cut my hair-- I haven't found anyone close to where I live that cuts hair like he does. All the guys at ETIKET are super friendly and know who I am when I go in. Leo is fantastic, as well! However, whoever sends the text message reminders definitely needs some customer service training. I sometimes have to cancel my appointments or move them due to my work schedule or sometimes the outrageous traffic of Jersey City. I communicate with Dion directly whenever this happens. This morning I got a text stating "What's going on? I see a last minute cancellation again." and tried to mark me as a no show. I checked on the website to re-book my appointment, I saw Dion had a 10:30am available. Then I checked my future appointments I had made last week and all my future appointments were deleted. I don't think this was a coincidence. Horrible customer service from whoever is behind the text messages. Other then that... amazing barbers and perfect service each time!read more
