I’ve been here twice and had no issues. Got great haircuts and the staff was friendly. However recently I booked an appointment and when I showed up I was informed that Armin wasn’t in that day. It wasn’t a big deal that nobody contacted me but what bothered me was that Eli instead offered to cut my hair for $100. More than double the advertised price. I said that’s unfortunate and left. I was the only person in the place and nowhere does it say anything about this price gouge. Barbers are required by law to advertise their pricing. I also didn’t get an apology for the cancellation and inconvenience. Poor customer service and opportunistic extortionist. For a better place in the area I’d recommend Scissorhands Barber for quality haircuts, consistent pricing, and just a better over all attitude.read more

don't get the hype about this place. It's an average barber shop that looks somewhat nicer. For $150, you get a -30minute haircut that you would've got at a place that charges $25-30 in Manhattan (except that those places usually don't leave patches of long hair you have to fix at home). So, you pay an extra $-40-55 for the 'ambience' (no water, free coffee, nothing, just the fact that it looks a little bit better than a typical rundown barber shop). Is it worth it? Definitely not.read more

Terrible experience, had never had this happen when getting a haircut. Barber was shaving the back of my neck and I left the shop feeling quite a bit of pain. When I get home I noticed my neck was full of blood. He cut all the back of my neck while shaving it and left me with pain for days. I went back to show him and he did not even stop what he was doing, just said “well what do you want me to do?” Mistakes happen, but to not even tell me he cut up my neck this badly while shaving it and then when I do point it out to be rude and unapologetic is unacceptable.Edit: photos I uploaded not visible to some as they are a bit graphic (contain blood).read more

They are never open. Even when they are listed as open...CLOSED.Been once, won’t be going back. Found out from a trusted barber after I got a haircut from here, that they cut the top of my hair unevenly.Also, after reading the other reviews...anyone with an ounce of integrity would know not to go here.read more

Very Professional and clean place. The best haircut and beard shape up I ever got. Eli is a master barber. Can't beat the prices. He is never rushed Eli puts the time and effort to really make the best cut for the individual. You can go to other places in the city where they would charge you double the price and Eli is just as good if not better. FIrst time customer, got haircut and beard trim. I can't say enough good things about this place and the owner/barber Eli. I've been using barbers for 25 years and this was far and away the best experience I have ever had. Eli was waiting for me when I arrived and even helped me with parking information by phone. The whole experience took a while, but that was because Eli was paying attention to every hair. The man takes serious pride in his craft. I am balding and going white and I definitely don't have the kind of hair that barbers get excited about, so I'm used to being treated rather quickly. But with Eli I felt like I was the most important haircut and beard trim in the world. Plus the place has an awesome vibe.Bottom line: it took me way longer to get here from the middle of Brooklyn than I had anticipated - about 1.5 hours travel time total - which I never would have done if I had known about it before. But let me tell you, it was worth every minute of the drive, and I will definitely be making the trip again. I feel good about my hair and beard for the first time in a really long time. Been here a couple of times, and the haircut was decent. Cash is preferred according to the guy that cut my hair.My primary complaint is that they don’t wear masks. I’ve been there 4 times, and each time the barbers weren’t wearing masks at all. They even made me wait inside, indoors. I haven’t said anything but it’s very uncomfortable especially with COVID cases rising in Williamsburg. I hope the city takes action or issues a warning/fineread more

I've never been a fan of going to barbers, but this place changed my feelings on that. I walked in and was immediately offered a free drink. I showed Eli a picture and he perfectly recreated the haircut. Great conversation, great service, great results. I look forward to going back!Edit: Very disappointed that they brought in people from other states to protest the closing during Covid-19. I can't, in good morals, ever go back. Eli was very personable and welcoming and listened to my needs as I wanted my husbands beard to be tamed. Got him a gift certificate and today we drove over as walk in and was able to be taken of in reasonable time! My husband also opted for a new hair look and Eli took all his worries about his hair into consideration for a look he was comfortable with even though he was sad to say goodbye to length. I love the way the beard came out! We even had our fussy toddler get a hair trim and fade even though he was crying and moving! He is extremely professional and patient! My toddler is NOW proud of his haircut and shows it off to everyone he sees! Lol. Great atmosphere, great vibes and I’m also an aromatherapy user and the peppermint smell wafting throughout the shop is amazing and soothing! I highly recommend this barber shop!!!read more

I showed my barber pictures of my last haircut and asked him if he could copy it. He said no problem. I also mentioned that I didn't want my hair cut too short. I told him to let me know if he needed to see those photos for reference at any point during the haircut and he said he didn't need it. I trusted him and put my phone away. About 20 minutes later, he's absolutely butchered my hair. It's significantly shorter than what was shown in the pictures (and I didn't realize until it was too late as I wear glasses and had taken it off prior to him starting).My issue isn't with the fact that he's a terrible hair stylist, it's with the fact that he was overconfident and said he could perform a service that he ended up failing marvelously at. I do not recommend this place. There are other options a couple streets down on Graham.The only pro to the place is that they offer you a beer upon entering. However, no amount of alcohol can make up for this atrocious haircut. I have a wedding to attend in a few days, and this has been the absolute worst decision of my life. I don't even know why I ended up paying them.read more
