Description
Thee Brooklyn Barber in East Williamsburg is classy throwback to a more retro style barber shop with antique decor, good conversation and 60s/70s era music. They offer classic hot straight razor shaves with pre-shave oils/lotions, hot towels to soften skin and open pores, shaving lubricants, and hot eucalyptus towels. Overall, a very enjoyable shave. Half shaves are also available to go along the upper cheeks, neck, and mustache. All services finish with steaming eucalyptus towel. Also, enjoy a glass of whiskey, while you hang out. It's typically walk in only, but they are currently accepting appointments via phone call.

Took awhile to finally find my go to spot. Whether you get Danny, his twin brother or any other staff you're going to get a great cut that won't break your wallet like other barber shops in the neighborhood. Plus the location is perfect next to the L train!read more

I relocated to this area and found that going to my old barber became inconvenient. I walked by this shop and immediately noticed that a) it was full, b) Amazing decor c) conveniently located. I gave it a shot and I was very impressed. They offer white glove customer service, the shop is incredibly clean, and they're amazingly skilled barbers (professional advice & styling recommendations) Best of all, I went back and tried out a different barber and he was just as good. So no matter which barber is available I don't have to worry. Anyone working here guarantees an amazing haircut.read more

Great barber shop. I called about an hour before he closed on Sunday and Danny agreed to take me in before closing up.When I got my haircut I didn't really know what I was looking for but he did a great job and I enjoyed the conversation a ton too. Ben cut my hair and trimmed my beard yesterday and he could not have been more professional about it. He checked in with me every step of the way to make sure I’m satisfied. Took his sweet time to correct every inch and angle of my hair and beard and did it with a smile on his face while chatting and laughing. And the price you ask? The price was amazingly fair. I stopped in Friday for a walk in around 7pm, there was one barber finishing up a client, he told me I'd be next. I was in and out with a quick fade, a little bit of scissors on top, and a beard line up $40 + tip and a half hour later I was out the door. Will be back!read more
