Love this place. All the barbers are great. I recommend Mike or Lester. Had to stop going though because they raised their prices. I have thinning hair and a short beard... $55-$70 is insane.

Not sure who cut my beard but I came in with a huge unkempt beard and came out with a perfectly shaped great looking beard. I had no clue what I wanted and he spent plenty of time cutting in stages to make sure it came out good. Impressive. Serves espresso shots. The decor is awesome.read more

I just went in today 7/25 for my first haircut since moving to NYC. Enrico mentioned that he moved his location due to COVID, but his new spot is very clean and relaxing. I mentioned to Enrico during my haircut that it was "shaping up to be the best haircut I've ever had", and I meant that! I always loved Land of Barbers when it was on Graham Avenue, so of course I followed Enrico to his new address for the same stellar service. Enrico took every safety measure that he could so that I felt safe during my appointment, and he took four months' worth of hair and beard and made me look like a modern human again. I made an impulsive decision to get a trim right before Christmas. It was after work and I needed 2 inches of dead hair trimmed off. I loved the shape my hair has previously, and I got a trim with a very nice Italian man. He said he would follow the same layers that my previous cut had.Everything was great, he was nice, the cut looked good dry. But then after the wash they started drying my hair and as someone very used to blow outs.. dried it really weird. (Used a paddle brush, couldn’t get the tangles out but felt like they were adding more too?!) But to each their own.I didn’t get a price before I sat down (my mistake for sure) but I wasn’t expecting $175 for a trim.When I have washed my hair since this cut no matter what I do the shape is wrong. It’s not at all similar to the layers I had before, it looks awful curled. It’s so much shorter than I would have liked. Coupled with the rough experience, heavy price, and feeling like I hate my hair… not greatread more

I walked in off the street thinking I noticed the owner from when he was renting a chair at a different spot during the pandemic. I couldn't get a cut from him at the time unfortunately so went with one of his colleges who was amazing. It's a great cut, I feel ready to take on the world. Dare I say a new lease on life? To be honest I never like getting my hair cut. It feels like I'm losing a part of myself quite literally. Land of barbers hair salon are very personable and make you feel welcome. I walked in because I needed my hair to be trimmed. I am an older man, and not all barbers appreciate the special needs of us older guys. The barber named Jolene was extremely nice to me, and listened to what I wanted and delivered; and was extremely pleasant. The only thing that was a wee bit embarrassing is that the price was a little higher than I expected ($36 for a shape-up) so I didn't give Jolene quite as large a tip that she deserved--will make it up to her next time.read more

I just had a wonderful experience here getting a short haircut and shape-up, and turning my hair from faded red into platinum blonde. Jolene, their newest barber and hair professional, took care of me, and the other two at the salon helped me check out and pick a couple products that I wanted/needed to keep my hair looking as great as it is right now. I came in to LOB for a trim. Jolene cut my hair very nicely, and gave me a recommendation for a sun kissed balayage. I came back a week later and Jolene did a great job of coloring my hair minimally. When I came home, I realized the color was not quite where I wanted it to be. I called LOB and they were able to accommodate me the next day and I was able to get my hair the way I wanted it. LOB will worked with me until I was satisfied. They care about their customers and I can't wait to see Jolene for my next trim!read more

A wonderful experience! I felt so welcomed and well taken care of. They offered to take my jacket and offered me something to drink right away. Afton did a lovely job in cleaning up my undercut. She was very confident and understood right away what I wanted which really made me trust her. I am so happy with my experience with Pare. I walked in with a head of overgrown unkempt hair and walked out looking and feeling super sharp and polished. He really payed attention to the transitions between different areas of the cut and to the overall proportions of the cut relative to my face, and he styled it perfectly at the end. Enrico gave me the best haircut I’ve had in a while. I have curly hair but wear it straight every other week. It always feels like a crapshoot trying a new stylist.He listened patiently and immediately understood what I wanted / what my hair needed. He made sure the cut was perfect.
