Description
Thee Brooklyn Barber in North Williamsburg is classy throwback to a more retro style barber shop with antique decor, good conversation and 60s/70s era music. They offer classic hot straight razor shaves with pre-shave oils/lotions, hot towels to soften skin and open pores, shaving lubricants, and hot eucalyptus towels. Overall, a very enjoyable shave. Half shaves are also available to go along the upper cheeks, neck, and mustache. All services finish with steaming eucalyptus towel. Also, enjoy a glass of whiskey, while you hang out. It's typically walk in only, but they are currently accepting appointments via phone call.

Just had another fabulous experience at The Brooklyn Barber (Wythe Location) where I met the two owners. We have been coming here to get my son's haircut for the past year and we have never been disappointed. For years we searched around Williamsburg to find a barber that could give a great kids' haircut. Tons of barbers in the neighborhood but they either had long wait times, high prices or inexperienced staff. Some had all of the above! Our 11 year-old got a super cool undercut that suits his style and personality. Great attention to detail by the barber. He took our "hair goals" into consideration and gave our son a great cut. Went in 20 minutes before closing along with two other guys who literally got there 2 seconds before me. There were two barbers working on two other customers and they greeted us all politely and didn’t mind that we arrived right around closing time. Atmosphere and vibe is very chill. Nice playlist and comfortable seats. The cut: John is truly passionate about what he does. I got seated to start my cut about 5 minutes prior to official closing time (my service probably took about 30-35 minutes beard plus hair cut) and he really took his time making sure my hair looks it’s best when I walk out. Other barbers would probably rush to get the job done quick as the shop was closed but John was zoned in and paying attention to every detail from my haircut to the beard. The end result was THE BEST haircut I got in my life. John even gave me advice on how to maintain my dry hair and got the haircut literally as I asked from the picture I showed him. 5 stars all around! When I’m ever in the area, I’ll definitely be back! First time going to there North 7th spot and I couldn’t be happier. Gabe was chill, funny and had some dope tunes. He was super attentive and on point, making sure I liked the look as he worked, especially on the beard trim. 5/5 for service, atmosphere, attention to current safety measures and how I felt about the cut, price and over all good time there. The shop owners (also primary barbers) are two very professional, and courteous twin brothers who just so happen to be passionate about cutting your hair,- as you will yourself experience should you stop by. Wythe Barber has been my go-to spot for 3 years and I will keep coming here even if I move out of the country. Gabe and Danny are rockstars. They crack me up and are always consistent with the cuts.
