Description
Persons of Interest Barbershop in the Williamsburg area of Brooklyn, is a really cool styled barber shop with a laid back vibe. You can take a seat in some '60s Belmont barber chairs with built-in ashtrays for an expert haircut, beard trim, straight-razor shave or buzz cuts. Although, as a Covid-19 precaution they are currently not providing beard trims or shaves. Listen to some classic music hits and sip on a complimentary beer or soft drink.

I’ve been going to Persons of Interest for a year now and have consistently had a positive experience. Stu is a wicked cool guy, and puts more care into a haircut than any barber I’ve met before. I’ve always gotten a great haircut from Megan. She figured out how to style my hair best (its very thick and tricky most times) right from the start. She is also very personable, which I appreciate. I cannot speak on other barbers but I’ve always had a pleasant experience there and will be back every time I need a cut. The shop DID take all precautions with regard to the current health crisis and I felt safe all around.read more

Hard to believe I've been going to this location for nearly a decade. I've been loyal to Francis who has always done an excellent job with my hair. The service and setting is great and they've done a fantastic job protecting customers following their reopening after the coronavirus pandemic.read more

Got my first cut since March - went to Francis per usual, and was impressed with the overall experience, particularly given COVID. The cut was phenomenal as it's always been with Francis - he listens to what I want, while also adding his unique expertise. And I was curious what the experience would be like now that COVID is upon us. I felt completely safe the entire time. I was the only one for that time slot, I sanitized upon entering, everything was clean and spaced out. Francis, myself, and the receptionist all wore our masks the whole time. I arrived to my appt 5 minutes early, checked in, and waited outside for 20 minutes without being told what was going on. It's a $65 haircut, so wasn't expecting the world, just to know if someone is running behind or the offer of a water? Sat down in the chair with Stu, really nice guy, but just felt rushed through the haircut. I don't think I'd go back.read more

Fantastic barber shop! They do hair colouring as well, and I got an amazing roots bleach from Hugh. Top salon quality, for a fraction of the price and time. I was truly amazed.

I have had a great experience at POI. Hugh has been the best barber I’ve ever had. I have extremely curly hair and besides Hugh there has never been a barber that knows how to cut my hair so well. Incredible barber. Generally very friendly staff. But the store has been impossible to reach recently. The phone is always busy — has been so for five days now — and there email is not working. Whoever is running this place needs to get it together.read more

I went for a wet shave as a walk in. Friendly welcoming atmosphere. The products the barber used during the shave had a very unpleasant odor, a bit like rotting watermelon in my mind. However, the result was FANTASTIC and I really felt good not just about the shave but my skin was soft and glowing. It's weird, but their method works.read more

Been going for over two years, on and off. Great shop, though I tend to stick to early mornings on the weekends or last time slots during the week, due to work.Staff is welcoming, atmosphere is warm, and most other clientele are friendly.
