Paul not only gave me quite possibly the best haircut I’ve ever received. He was possibly the nicest most down to earth dude I’ve talked to while getting my haircut. He was calm, professional, and took his time with every inch of my hair and beard. Beard trim was beyond exceptional, most spots don’t get it right. This man got it right right away. Everyone in the shop was extremely nice and hospitable. They even squeezed me in despite me not making an appointment. Hands down found my new spot in town. And my new barber Paul is hands down who I’m gonna hit up every time. Thank you guys again for the beyond great experience.read more

This place is awesome and will be the best haircut you can ever get. Pauly is an absolute wiz and you can tell he really enjoys what he does. They’re conveniently located, parking is never too hard to find and appointments can be easily made on their app. No wait.Their app requires payment to confirm the barber and time slot. Not tipping or tipping low BEFORE your haircut in my experience made the barber passive aggressive and reduced the quality of haircuts going forward. Logic is do what we pay $50+ for and gratuity is added after for great service.I recommend calling in appointments to avoid this issue. Give them a try if you’re a busy person and don’t have time to wait in a packed shop. I rather go somewhere else and not get chip’d up by an unprofessional barber.read more

Just went to the Grooming Cove for my first haircut at this shop. I needed to switch things up from the usual haircutters out there. Setting up the appointment online was simple. I arrived early for my appointment with Noel, and when I left, it was 5 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. (they work fast but thorough)The guys there are great. The shop was clean and bright. Noel was friendly and helpful and understanding of me being unsure of what I wanted in a haircut.I decided to go #1 over everything with a fade. Noel was able to adjust my services to include a beard and mustache trim.I will be returning once I'm due for my next haircut. Great placeread more

If you want a good cut this is the place to go . I tried a bunch of new places when moving to the area and haven't gone anywhere different since I found the grooming cove . Ruben is the man and There isn't a bad barber in the place and you'll never leave with a bad cut .read more

Paul was great! He worked diligently on my haircut, and when he spun the chair around for the reveal in the mirror, I was very pleased with his work. Exactly how I wanted my cut. Highly recommend.

I have twin 10 year olds and we’ve been going to grooming cove for two years now! We’ve used all the barbers at the store because I’m not great at scheduling- but we try and use Damian - he has related with my boys and listens to what they want and like - he’s patient and particular! When I moved to the area four years ago I dreaded having to find a new barber. As someone who is very picky about my hair and beard, I struggled finding a shop I liked throughout the Jersey/NYC area. But I’m so glad I found this place. This is the best shop I’ve ever been too, with a good atmosphere and easily bookable appointments that are always on time. Damian has been doing my cut for a few years now and he deserves his master barber title. I always get a skin fade with a cut on top, with a beard shape up and it ALWAYS comes out better than any other barber I’ve ever been to. The other barbers in the shop are always friendly and seem to give great cuts as well. I HIGHLY recommend this place and Damian. 10/10read more

3 years in Secaucus 3 years at The Grooming Cove! I’d say the only clean cut, crisp & sharp barber shop in town! Me & my son see them every 45 days - everybody there is great - Wilson, Damian, Ruben - they are all master artists.But special mention about Ruben - who has been doing our hair since 3 years now. Please go to my man Reuben. He’s been cutting my hair for the past 2 years and NEVER disappoints. Understands what the client needs and he always asks! Rueben is a master of his craft. If you want a barber who actually gives a damn, go see Rueben. His fades are surgical, and his attention to detail is unmatched.What really sets him apart is his memory; he remembers exactly how you like your hair, but always takes the courtesy to ask, 'What are we doing today?' It’s not often that I feel compelled to write a review, but this experience truly deserves one. As a parent of an autistic five-year-old, haircuts can be a challenge for us. We visited this shop for the first time last night, and I was incredibly impressed with Damien’s skill and professionalism.Before getting started, Damien took the time to walk me through the entire process. He explained the haircut, how he uses the clippers, and what to expect—something I really appreciated. His patience and expertise immediately put both my son and me at ease.I’m extremely happy with the haircut, and most importantly, my son felt comfortable throughout the entire experience. It was not only smooth and efficient, but actually enjoyable—something we don’t often get to say about haircuts.The shop was also clean and had a calm, non-overstimulating environment, which made a big difference for us.Overall, this was a 10/10 experience.
