Description
South Side Barber Shop has a no-nonsense approach to their artistry that makes regulars out of the many who visit. There are upwards of 13 barbers that work different schedules. Between all the barbers there is a vast amount of experience and individual talent. They should be able to accommodate any request, but if you want specialty work done, such as designs, you should check for availability of that artist that day.

This place is excellent. Great environment. And talented employees. I came in for a quick cut around lunch time.... My hair was a mess Rocko sat me down quick and gave me an fantastic and precise trim/detail and hard part. Both the beard and clean up was only 20 bucks. Can't beat that. I will for sure be back and I would highly recommend stopping by for a cut.read more

South Side Barber Shop is the same owner of the Fade Factory on North Huntington and both of these shops are the BEST! The barbers are kind, attentive and great at haircuts and shaves. I have a 21 yr old son who always goes to the South Side location and I took my 4 year old here 2½ weeks ago. It was a great experience and my boys both look awesome when they get their haircuts from here! They truly take their time and are very personable with everyone but are especially great with the littler kids! Only downside, just be prepared to wait for this great service and cut because there is usually always a wait for these guys. There's an extra fee of you want to make an appointment but it's worth it! Go see the guys at South Side Barber Shop and you won't be disappointed!read more

Girl Kim hook me up with a sick shave in design!! Took almost 2 hours but it was because she paid attention to detail and went over everything with a straight razor.. not a razor pen!! Great barber shop. All of the barbers always do an excellent job. There is a fun atmosphere in there as well. Very fast and easy process. They take appointments and walk-ins and they blaze through people so there's a small wait either way. Cash only, but they have an ATM inside.

This place is by far the best around. Stop down n see " pez the barber " hes who i use and hes the best when it comes down to a hard part or fade. Trust me i keeps it fresh n hes my go to. Check em out. And as for the other fellas i look obviously and tho pez is my dude i use who ever when hes not there. I've been coming here since I've living in the city, so about 6 years.I will go nowhere else, as long as I live here.I have waited 2 hours in line to have these folks cut me, because they're the only ones who can shape me up properly.I never make appointments, but if you do, it's a couple bucks more expensive than a traditional cut. Its worth it, if you're in a hurry.Go for the straight razor shave.One more thing, this is for all future patrons:PROPERLY TIP YOUR BARBER! I'm tired of seeing people hand their barber a $20 for an $18 haircut. They have an ATM on site, so theres no excuse!read more

The food was excellent as always they had my favorite drink there and the experience is always amazing my waitress was very sweet the manager is great my grandson had a great time he felt like he wanted some yeah Seafood he felt like trying lobster for the first time and they don't have seafood at their house cuz my older grandson is highly allergic to shellfish even if it's around him and the wind blows his way he gets a serious allergy attack so I took my other grandson with me to Eddie V's he got dressed up he wanted to look his best and when we got there he said how nice it was is such a nice restaurant like he definitely noticed that it was a higher end restaurant and that made me feel so good that he felt special and knew that the place was a better a a nicer place to have dinner thank you to the manager and the Waiters in the waitresses and I have had every time I went there a special thanks to the manager for getting my special drink pina colada🍹read more

This place used to be the best about 3 years ago went in for the first time last week and the barbers are no longer the best. The guy that cut my hair 100% rushed it due to them closing. He used a pair of clippers and made the top of my hair all the same length. When you have a hard part and your hair lays a certain way that is not what you do. Ended up walking out looking like I was at great clips used to recommend this place to everyone. Now I want to see new barbers in there that enjoy their job not just rushing for another tipread more

Most of them are all ex-convicts trying to get their life back together now honest way. Just went this past Sunday hardly any barbershops saw there was like 2 open didn’t know what to expect I read reviews they said ask for Jocelyn I did but by time I got there she was busy I don’t know you could make an appointment lmao 😂 but the one guy with the glasses on the end ended up cutting my sons hair and up having the best Mohawk ever!!! But findin this shop after yrs of 1 and findin another cause ur old stylist retired from the shop I went 2 and then startd cuttin from his crib and then up and moved. Just stopped in here for the first time about 15 minutes ago. I just recently moved to the city and was hoping to find a good barber. which is something I was seriously lacking when I lived in central PA. And in my short time in the city, it looks like I’ve already found one! I love the atmosphere—good music, friendly people, and a cute puppy was hanging out in there as well. The dude cutting my hair absolutely killed it! Such a clean fade and he listened to what I wanted. I’ve got a patchy beard and some real thin hair up top, and he worked with it in a way that has got it looking better than ever. The beard lines are so spot on, and they even went over my eyebrows real quick! Not to mention the speed… I was in and out of there in no more than 20 minutes. Got nicked a little bit near the end but that just comes with the territory (I’m not gonna let that impact the best cut I’ve ever gotten). Highly recommend!read more

I have been here twice now! Great haircut experience you just have to be ready to rock and enjoy the atmosphere which is Very Fun! Heard some songs I love while enjoying a very relaxing and nice experience! JC did a fantastic job on both my beard and hair and considering it was the first time I’ve been in there he was able to get it exactly right and put a modern spin on it.
