Ray's Barber Shop in Tribeca, NYC is spacious barbershop, which can be tough to find in NYC. It's a relaxed atmosphere without loud music. They do all types of haircuts including but not limited to fade, flat top, tape-up, and layer cut. Haircuts include a nice hot towel and straight razor neck shave. All Razor Shaves include pre-shave creams, hot lather, steaming warm towel, post shave products and face massage. They do children's haircuts as well.

My COVID haircut needed some well deserved cleaning up. As businesses opened up, I was happy to see Ray's Barber shop too. Went there today and as usual they did a fantastic job. It was very quiet and not busy at all. Was speaking the owner I believe and it crazy how the closures have hurt small businesses. They are super friendly, they care, they do a great job and I am here writing this review not only because it's well deserved, but for anyone just browsing and looking for place to get your hair done, visit Ray's. Not once did I feel the risk of contracting COVID, they were super sanitary, everyone had masks on, even the other customer. This was a phenomenal experience, I genuinely believe this I had one of the best barbershop experiences I've ever had (I'm 24 years old, yes still young but consider my words here). The barber that cut my hair is named Mark and he did a great job. From cutting my hair in a way that made me feel very comfortable (didn't pull my hair, didn't jerk my head around, didn't cut hair and leave it in my face) to actually doing a good job at cutting my hair (faded my sides wonderfully, followed my sideburn line and evened where necessary, cut a very even amount on the top + followed my style), it was a great choice from me to go there. Very reasonably priced and will be going there from now on. I moved from West Palm Beach, FL ~2 months ago and have had my hair cut by many good barbers in Miami as well, but Ray's barber tops them all.read more

Beautiful barbershop! Massive barbershop in the heart of downtown Manhattan witn reasonable prices. Following covid regulations they have separations between each station and sanitized everything. They have great hours to accommodate midday cuts, and they always have a great turnaround time getting you in and out as soon as possible. Ray’s Barber shop is my go to whenever I’m in lower Manhattan. Conveniently located only 3 blocks away from the Chambers St stop for both the 1,2,and 3 Lines and the A,C,and E lines. The barber shop is extremely clean and the environment is very friendly in here. They take care of you and offer a variety of different services. I always get a Medium skin fade and a line up. Expect to pay on average about 40 dollars for your cut after tip, which in Tribeca is reasonably priced. I always make sure to ask for Ray whenever I come in, or call ahead to confirm my appointment. Been going here for about a year and can’t see myself going anywhere else.read more

This is a real deal barbershop for men. Have been a few times prior but long overdue it is that I give these professionals the praise they deserve. I walked in early morning and Mark jumped up to ready his chair for my cut while I hung my jacket up. He was friendly, attentive, and an obvious master of his craft. When you get there, ask for Kyle. My go to is a High or mid temp fade, Finger length cut on the top for texturing. Kyle got me in And out in less than 20, best cut I’ve had in awhile. Hit him up

I’ve been going to Ray’s for the 2 years I’ve been living in Manhattan and have had a great experience so far. I feel the quality of cuts is very high and they are also flexible to discussing different hair styles and pros and cons of different choices. The facility is also very clean and nice which makes visiting very enjoyable. My barber has also suggested new ideas like blending scissor cuts and different razor levels to make better side fades than either alone can provide.read more

Did an amazing job on my boyfriend who was getting scruffy. He came in for a haircut and a beard shave, leaving just his mustache. His barber worked fast and she made sure to check in with him until he was happy.Make sure to bring cash for tip. You can pay by card but cash is better for tip.read more

I do not generally post reviews but this was an A+ haircut experience. In nine minutes, I got a better haircut than I have gotten from stylists who have taken 50 minutes.
