Chaplin's Barber Shop in Brooklyn, NY has a well crafted interior with between the brick wall and vintage hats as decor, also nice music and silent films along side aromatic candles filling up the room. The barbers are careful, attentive, and keep you in the loop during your cut. They also treat you to a hot towel with a little massage and straight razor neck shave. Chaplin’s was actually the first barbershop that understood my hair and knew how to cut it well. Before Chaplin I had accepted that my hair just was never going to look awesome. Just got new haircut from there, showed picture what i want and i got exactly what i was looking for! Customer service 5+, haircut 5+ ! Katya did an excellent job taming and shaping the unkempt work-from-home mop on the top of my head into a sleek, fashionable cut that looks exactly as I requested. Incredibly friendly service and smooth experience from all the way from booking the appointment on short notice to the relaxing hot towel at the end. Just moved into the neighborhood and this definitely checks off the barbershop box, I won't be looking any further.Katya gave me an amazing scissor cut, she's clearly a pro. Clean, cute shop, with wonderful hair products too. Even got a shampoo and condition with the cut, which isn't always included at run of the mill barbershops in New York.To top it off, insanely affordable! Don't let that scare you away. I've tended to avoid barbershops on the cheaper side before, but a carefully done scissor cut for relatively long hair, with a hair wash and warm towel, for $45?
