I never had a regular barbershop until I went to Matt’s. I’ve had my haircut by just about every barber there and they all do a great job. My go-to guy is Mike. He really takes pride in what he does and I’ve never been unsatisfied with a haircut. I call him Magic Mike not for his dance moves, but for the phenomenal job he does every single time I get a haircut. I’ll never go anywhere else.read more

Love this place. Sometimes the wait can get long but they do a great job. I have 3 boys. The staff there are patient, understanding and kind... even when my one son gets hair on his face and becomes a complete terror. I appreciate them very much and recommend them to any guy who wants a great haircut.read more

I have been going to Matt since he was in a shop with two other people in Raritan maybe 8 years ago... This guy runs a grade a shop, is down to earth and really cares about his customers. I drive 20 minutes sometimes even 30 with traffic on 202 - locals get it - my man always takes care of me. There literally has not been a time I left Matts shop unhappy. This guy is the best and the people he hires are just as good. Matt, keep up the great work and great staff... I am so proud to see how far you have grown! I’ve been cut by both Matt and Mike and every time I leave I feel good about going to Matt’s. They don’t just ask you once how you want your hair done, instead through out the cut they will make sure they fully understand what you want so you get the exact cut your looking for. Hands down the best place in Flemington to get your hair cut and I’ve lived here for almost 20 years.read more

Great, quality cuts. I wish I didn't have to pay as much (it's very reasonable at around $22 for a fade compared to other places) but you definitely get what you paid for.

Needed a new barber for my first hair cut post-pandemic. Decided to try Matt's based on the reviews here and it's very close to our house. Exceeded expectations in every way. Courteous, professional, great service, great experience. My cut was with Matt (not that Matt, the other Matt) and without a doubt I will be back in 3-4 weeks. Can't recommend highly enough. I came in not knowing what I wanted. I have long hair and was on the fence on what I wanted the barber was excellent and knowledgeable able. We could not come up with a definitive answer so we went with a edging on the of the neck hairs and they didn’t even charge me. I offered multiple times. I love this barber shop. Every barber who works there is extremely skilled because Matt only wants the best for his business and clientele. I’ve had my haircut by Matt (the owner) and he is one of the best in the game. I’m from Philly and recently moved to this area and was scared I wouldn’t be able to find a good barber. Well, Matt’s is the best. I also get cut by Mike who really takes pride in his work and treats every haircut different, because everyone is different, even if they’re requesting the same exact hair cut. I would let anyone here cut my hair. I know someone who goes to Dario. Also does great work. The ONLY reason I’m not giving this shop five stars is because they don’t take appointments. My schedule is hectic and now I live 25 mins from the shop so a haircut could potentially be a 2 hour endeavor (there’s usually always a wait- which is a good thing because they’re sought after). Anyway, yeah Matt’s is the best in the area.read more

Not the worst, not the best - somewhere in the middle. You might have to wait long one day, you might not another day. Sometimes you're called on in order of arrival walking in, sometimes you wonder if there's a secret list. Decent haircut, but for 30$ flat, there are better options in the area that feel a bit more consistent.read more

I love this place for my 3 year old son’s haircuts! We previously had horrible experiences at other kids places and even other barbershops. Matt’s is hands down the best. He’s had a haircut by Matt twice, the guy next to Matt (haven’t caught his name) and the guy in the 3rd chair from the front door (didn’t catch his name today) but all haircuts have been awesome! They are all so accommodating to my son, who likes to sit on his dad’s lap instead of by himself, and are always super patient with him when he squirms and constantly turns his head. So happy to have found them!read more
