Top notch spot, I'm glad I did my research around town before picking a spot to get a haircut and beard trim. The guys are friendly and professional, and get the job done right. I'm pleased with the beard trim in particular, as those can go at shops where they don't know what they're doing. Street parking is easy.read more

Went here for the first time yesterday and WOW! Hot towel shave of my head and beard trim both came out perfect. My hair grows in weird ways in my beard and the cut Rich gave it is absolutely perfect. Without a doubt will be back!read more

My son found this place last year and now we will go no where else! Go see Rich and Jeremy in their natural habitat, making everyone look great!Try Hold Fast and you won't want to go anywhere else either!UPDATE 4/18Jeremy and Rich always make me feel at home in their shop. It is a new fangled spin on the barber experience I had as a kid with my dad on Flatbush Ave in Brooklyn. You know they will take care of you and make you look great, but they might take it upon themselves to school ya if needed.read more

Very glad that I checked this place out. My haircut from Rich looks amazing and the shop atmosphere is great. My skin is real sensitive so I usually come out of shops with my head all red and irritated, but absolutely no redness whatsoever which I don't think has ever happened for me before. 5/5 definitely recommend.read more

First time getting a haircut here. Rich did an awesome job. He is definitely a master at his craft. I enjoyed then haircut along with some nice conversation. I like the old school barbershop feel. They also did a great job with the place, with lots of memorabilia and decorations. A lot of cool details to look at while you are getting your haircut. Also, scheduling the appointment on there website was a breeze, with confirmation emails and txts, as well as reminders. I will definitely be sticking with these guys for my haircuts in the future.read more

This is the only place I get my haircut. I go in looking like an animal and leave feeling and looking a million times better. Rich and Jeremy cannot be beat with the excellent service they provide at an amazing price. Do not hesitate, make an appointment and let either artist make you look great. The shop itself is comfortable and has an old-school fit and feel, its worth my time and yours every time to go there and get freshened up.read more

I've been getting my haircut by Ryan since he was an apprentice 2 or so years ago . Every time I sit in his chair the cuts get better and better. Always down to have a intellectual conversation with you and not just a simple how are you doing, which shows me he truly cares about his clients and their well being. Ryan is an incredible barber and puts nothing but love and pride into his work.barbershop itself is an awesome little shop with flash drawings of American traditional tattoos on the walls drawn by local artists as well as intricate oddities given as gifts to the shop. great place to sit down and unwind for a haircut and have a good conversation with great company.read more

I've been coming to Hold Fast since 2020, so glad I found this spot after years of going to "corporate mini mall" barber shops. I moved to Middlesex County last year, but still make the 45 minute drive to the shop every month for a cut. Rich and Jeremy are fantastic barbers and even better dudes. There's always a solid playlist spinning, and if you're lucky, American Gladiators on the TV. They take walk-ins when they can but I recommend booking an appointment on their website to guarantee a chair.
