Nice place! Good service. Only complaint is that they say they take credit card, but when I was paying they said the machine is down. Other people have mentioned the same thing in reviews so maybe it’s the norm. Thankfully I had cash on me but it would have been safer to check with me in advance.read more

I’ve had two phenomenal haircuts and one mediocre one here. Looks like they keep the good barbers and let the lesser ones go because who I got the mediocre cut from is no longer there. I’m surprised at the quality they are able to achieve in such a short time. Very good choice if you are short on time and need a quality cut in a pinch. 5 stars for now based on the cut I got yesterday.read more

Dave is an amazing master barber, a true expert in his field. For sure one of the best barbers in the tri-state area. Not only does he take great pride in his craft, he’s also a great individual. In regards to his skills, he really takes his time and tailors the haircuts to your individual preference. Personally I almost always get a skin fade and a bit off of the top. I must say he’s mastered the art of the fade! Dave is very precise, extremely detailed and pays great attention to detail. I always walk out of the barbershop looking super clean cut and fresh. I got the cleanest fade I've ever gotten from Joe FadesByJoe today--and it was my first time here. He was professional, made sure I was satisfied, and even suggested a different style of fade that would last longer (vs. the one I brought to him which would have only lasted a couple days). Amazing value for the haircut, and honestly probably the most well-done haircut I've ever gotten in my life. I've been to salons where they charge $120 for haircuts and Joe blew them out of the water. Super happy with the cut and will definitely be coming back soon.read more

I’ve been coming here for about 3 years and can not say enough. Salons overcharge and barbers only know clippers. This place gives me a salon quality cut at a barber price. And always consistent, polite, and topped off with a straight razor neck shave and a hot towel. I absolutely recommend these guys. And Steve is the man!!!!read more

The guy who did my hair was Steve, he is an expert at what he does, he doesn’t only provide good service but he gives good advice and takes care of his customers. Be aware they are very busy on the weekends if you choose to do walk in, it's better to have an appointment on the weekend or you walk in during the weekdays. Discovered HKB a few months ago while scootering around the ‘hood in search of a haircut. Was lucky enough to get sat with Marco, who proved to be a master at his craft. He gave me the best haircut I’ve had in my 25 years of living in New York City.So much so that I scooter blocks past barbers closer to my apartment to go to him.I even convinced my very hard to please and discerning husband JaYSON to give him a try. My husband is a die-hard salon man and very particular about his hair. He swore he’d never go to a barber.Since Marco, even my husband is a customer and extremely pleased with Marco’s ability to listen to the client and deliver an amazing haircut.The place itself is very inviting. Took me awhile to find the right barber/environment to get my haircut. This place was perfect from the start. The barbers are friendly, the music and whole ambiance is welcoming, and you can tell the customers and workers just enjoy being there.Initially, I would book an appointment with any barber at the shop. Through that, I was not once disappointed. Now, I book my appointments with Carlos, who's been cutting hair for a few decades. You can tell he has great experience and knowledge of cutting. Top notch experience. First time stopping in and got a really great haircut. Although I am easily impressed as where I'm from it's impossible to find a good cut. The barber took her time and gave me a high quality fade and textured scissor cut on top. Price was a little steep but I got my money's worth for sure.
