You cannot go wrong with this classic 9th avenue institution. Russian Americans run the place with a dry sense of humor, a load of regulars keep returning, the cuts are good and always on point. You also pay a good price $20+tip. You can also have your beard done if needed. Not to be missed if you want good results.read more

This shop is ok. Some barbers are better than others. The elder workers pretty much don’t do what you ask for though so be prepared

Simply outstanding. This is probably one of best cuts I've ever had. Miguel is truly an ace barber. He handled the scissors like a fine artist. I told him what I wanted and I knew immediately I was in the care of a craftsman. This level of service and skill is a steal for 20 bucks. Highly recommended.read more

Reviews of my haircut from friends/colleagues: "spectacular" "looks great" "your best haircut ever." To me it looked fine not incredible, and maybe it's just that I hadn't had a haircut in a year so there was a lot of room for improvement, but who am I to question consensus? It was also very fast. And cost $20. Older barber, didn't catch his name.read more

I have been to a lot of barber shops in the city and in my opinion this is one of the best ones out there. I always get a good haircut no matter who cuts my hair and when they shave your neck with an old school razor, it is the icing on the cake. Remember it's cash only.read more

The staff was super friendly. They use a straight razor too, which is a lost art these days. The attention to detail is great too! I'm from out of town, and these guys will be my regular barbers if I ever move here.read more
