They maintain that traditional quality in a rustic-chic interior where you can sit back and enjoy a shot or cold beer. They take walk-ins and appointments, although if you're going on a weekend, I'd suggest an appointment.

I love this place. I got a great haircut from friendly guys without fuss. It’s hard to find a simple but great barber. Happily these guys are walking distance from my house.

Went in for what I was expecting to be a quick fade and ended up with the world's longest haircut time. The barber was slow and I had to instruct and direct even though I showed a clear photo (of a standard fade) from the start. Save yourself the time and go to the Clever Barber on Atlantic avenue. You'll get better service and a much nicer atmosphere.read more

Much respect to the Clever Barber! Beck is amazing, but also I have never been disappointed no matter who works on me. I was looking for an alternative to the overpriced places in the neighborhood, and Clever Barber is perfect. Location is convenient, they are fast, friendly, and offer excellent value for their services! (tips are cash only, fyi) I always am getting compliments on my cuts from the Clever Barber, do yourself a favor and check them out.read more

Looks so clean and spotless! And it triggers fond memories for me. When I was 13 I spent the summer with my great aunt and uncle in L.A. He had a barbershop. I used to love sweeping up the hair and posting cat pictures from life magazine in the window. So, today, I post cat pictures on FB and weed. No different. Love it!read more

Excellent neighborhood barbershop. Beck gives me a great haircut every time and is an awesome guy. The price is right for the service offered, you're getting high quality service at a much more reasonable rate than other neighborhood shops that'll charge you 50 bucks for a 20 minute men's cut. Highly recommended!read more
