Sulimay’s was opened in 1992 as a comfortable neighborhood barber shop and over 20 years later they are still offering the same friendly and reliable service. They won't try to rush you out. This is a great place to go for a cut and a piece of old fashion neighborhood community. I drive up from Atlantic city for their cuts and feel like an old friend. With regards to feeling welcomed, I am a gay married man with an 8 year old and we feel completely welcomed and part of the family. Awesome place.read more

Kyle cut my sons hair. He did an awesome job and took his time cutting it. We walked right in and he got in a chair immediately. The shop is clean and provides good service. I highly recommend them.

Joe is a staple of the Fishtown Community and his shop is the perfect extension of him. Friendly, courteous, upbeat and full of life, Joe has been Fishtown’s Barber for so many years and to many of us he’s been much more. He’s our friend. Even if you walk into his shop for the first time, you feel that friendship, and it continues to stay with you long after you leave and go about your day. Imagine having that kind of experience from a guy you only see once a month at best and every time you walk into that shop it’s like you’ve been there everyday in between. The conversation picks back up like it never ended. Sure it’s a great shop, a great neighborhood and a great product. But for me, and many other Fishtown residents, it’s more about Joe Sulimay and the amazing friend he is to all of us.read more

Unbelievable experience. Kyle was professional, fun to talk to and gave an amazing haircut. For my first time in and first professional cut since the pandemic started I couldnt have chosen better, all safety guidelines were followed and walked out of there extremely happy with the result. Completely family run local barbershop and will definitely be going back for as long as I'm in the area!read more

I thought finding a mature experienced barber who would listen to what I want - and not just give me the look they felt like doing - was a lost cause. I was cutting my own hair for a very long time because I felt like everywhere I looked was over-priced, and resisted/neglected the fundamentals in favor of contemporary, popular styles.Call me boring, but I'm trying to keep it simple - back to basics - regularly maintained, understated, properly groomed.I managed to find exactly the right atmosphere and results I was looking for.Joe gave me hands-down one of the finest, subtlest haircuts I've ever received, and was an absolute pleasure to talk to!Thanks be to Zeus people like him are still around. Went in not feeling confident about my hair and Marc fixed that real quick. Great atmosphere for a barber shop. Witnessed a customer come in nearly an hour after his appointment and the barber was kind enough, and luckily available, to accommodate him. Great locally owned business.read more
