I'm brand new to Philly, and I feel like I hit the jackpot with Franklin's. Jay gave me an excellent cut, and I really enjoyed our conversation. You'll definitely need to make an appointment, but that's really easy to do on the website. Also, if you head over a few minutes early, you can sit back and enjoy a cold one while you wait. I love coming to this barbershop for several reasons. The first being it’s a friendly atmosphere for me and my 10 year old son. The conversations are hilarious as well. Started going here during the pandemic, and these guys give an incredible haircut at a great price. ($30 flat). Very attentive to safety protocols, with appointment only (so no lines), temp taking at door, hand sanitizer, cleaning everything between clients & masks required. Beyond that, the atmosphere is welcoming & fun, but not pretentious like some barbers try to be these days (no IPA’s, no leather couches... it’s all about great quality cuts). Hot towels, straight razors... I can’t stress enough how incredible this place is. Highly recommend to any guy looking for an expensive cut at an awesome price.read more

I explored the barbershops in the area when I first moved here from Hoboken a couple of years ago before trying out Franklin’s and now I won’t get my haircut anyplace else. All the barbers are extremely talented and super friendly so you’re in good hands in any chair (Rhys is the man and my go to guy) plus they do a hot shave to the back of your neck/sides and finish with a nice aromatic hot towel which once you start getting you’ll never go back to somewhere that doesn’t. This place is great, so happy I found it walking around the neighborhood. I was previously going to Phila Barber Co but my main gal left with no word on where she was going.Enter Rhys, my new favorite barber. I rock a lot of hair for a guy, so I need someone who can style it and understand how it's going to grow in. Rhys gives me a great, clean look fresh out the chair. It gets better too, as the style hits its peak about 1-2 weeks post cut. I love it. I’ve been coming to Franklin’s for just about a year now, and I’ve never gotten a bad hair cut. Sam is my go-to barber and she always does a fantastic job. However, what made me think about leaving this review today was my beard trim on January 18.I booked my beard trim two days before my wedding. I was very nervous about it, because barbers in the past had done really horrible jobs and not listened to what I wanted. This was not the case with Sam - I felt fantastic, friends commented on how great my beard looked, and my now wife loved it too. Wonderful atmosphere and even better barbers. The shop is warm and welcoming. Lots of barbers will simply cut your hair how they think it looks good, but Rhys will listen to how YOU think it should look and will carefully work to achieve your vision. Scheduled a semi-last minute haircut with Rhys when my regular barber was unavailable. Great cut! He was meticulous and really considered in how he approached my somewhat frustrating head of short hair. I just went back to him again and I think he did an even better job the second time. He’s now my go-to guy.On top of the quality cut, him and the other barbers are clearly close and have a real chemistry. It’s a fun time listening to them riff.read more
