Description
Strong Island Styles is a very popular barber shop in Long Island, NY. They do quality haircuts and designs, and are great with kids. They have plenty of barbers and plenty of chairs in a large well crafted area, so things move pretty fast. The owner, Brian, is wonderful, but all you can’t go wrong with any barber. There is no appointment necessary just show up and put your name on the list and they’ll call you when it’s your turn.

I’ve been getting my hair cut by Guido for the last 2 years and never leave disappointed. The level of professionalism is unmatched. He always takes the time for a thorough consultation before beginning a cut. My son and I absolutely loved this place. We have tried a lot of salons in this area. We had many unpleasant experiences. If you live on the North Shore, look no further.....this is the place ladies and gentlemen. Brian has to be the friendliest and most generous barber I've had in my 26 years of haircuts. Makes you feel really welcome and happy you came. Tons of social energy and positivity. He seriously knows how to run a business! This is a legit barbershop with all the classic cool stuff the fellas like, but totally retains the small town community-esque barber shop feel, even when it's full of complete strangers... which is really important. I’ve been coming here for a long time, at least like 8 years or more. I can’t recall a time that I ever had a bad experience or got a bad haircut. They got a bunch of great barbers and they always make me look fresh no matter who cuts my hair and they’re all also great people who I like talking and socializing with and they always make me feel welcome there. The only negative thing I’ll say is the wait time because sometimes it feels like a while but it’s never too long and I always end up leaving feeling better. Went in for a haircut the other day and guess who walked in.?? No, not Jimmy Fallon. Doc Gooden!!! He just sat down and waited for a barber to free up!! I couldn't believe it! I have been coming here for a while. What I like about this place is all of the barbers are consistent. You will get the same cut across the board from all of them. I grew up going to Brian but all the barbers are great and I would never go anywhere else. You’re much better off going in for a haircut during the week unless you don’t mind waiting over the weekend. Highly recommend if you want a good haircut all around.read more

Great cut. And even greater environment and attitude. My first time there. Everyone was friendly. Seemed like there were several talented barbers. I base this off the cuts of the various people I saw walking out. I went to Guido. He was solid. Listens, patient, offers solutions, and gives a great cut. My last cut was a disaster. By far, one of the best places on all of Long Island to get your haircut, whether you’re a kid a teenager or a grown man. This is the place to get the latest fade. I use all the barbers at this location and they are all great. Whatever look you’re going for they can achieve. Brian is the owner usually on premises, very friendly and nice and make sure that everything runs smoothly. I’ve been coming to Strong Island Styles since I was in grade school. My mom would drive me an hour from Fort Salonga just to get a haircut. my mom would get aggravated because it was such a long wait.. always worth it ! now that I’m grown I still make the trip to See the most talented most enthusiastic guys in Long Island.
