Premium Barbershop is owned by Uriel, who grew up in a family of barbers and after years in the hair design industry, decided to focused on men's haircare with this barber shop. They now have several locations throughout Manhattan. Come enjoy a professional haircut from a skilled team in a very classic environment, while watching news, sports and UFC on flat screen TVs.

Alex and the regular barbers are great and consistently give a good cut. Originally found this place as it was nearby, but now live in battery park and trek back uptown as they are worth it. As of July 2017, haircut was $22 and worth every penny. They have straight razor shave and shampoo services also.It can be busy after work and weekends, but usually less than 15 min wait, they work fast even with a line. Stop by in AM and you will likely walk right in. I'm writing this at 10:30 AM on a Sat and only one other person is in the shop with me. Alex, his #4 and his straight razor are a monthly ritual.read more

I’m new to the city and I have been finding barbershops after my self-quarantine. When I saw this place online and found out that it was affordable, I decided to go there. When I arrived there, the place and the people didn’t disappoint me at all. First of all, it was clean. When I think of a great barber, I think of someone I can trust. The type where I can fall asleep in the chair (hypothetically) and wake up looking like a new man ready to go to a gala. As a black guy in midtown it can be hard to find a good spot to get a cut, but this place does a really solid job. I’ve been a regular for a few months now. Everyone is very friendly and offers great service. But if you are black, make sure to not get cut by the older woman. She’ll only do the bare minimum so you’ll have to line yourself up at home and she overcharged me, compared to usual $26 cut. Plus she asked me to bring cash next time even though they accept card and I’ve used card every other time. Weirdread more

I've been living in New York City for 12 years now and Premium Barbershop is by far the best place to get a haircut.Before I found Premium, I used to worry about getting bad haircuts from beginner barbers, but at Premium everyone is so talented it truly doesn't matter who cuts your hair.You can tell everyone loves being there and loves their job, which creates such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. This is my go-to place for haircuts. I will literally travel to Queens for the location by grand central. I always go to Karen, she is an awesome barber and always knows what I want. She always gives a great haircut and is always friendly. Usually barbers have a hard time cutting my hair because its very straight, but Karen is able to work with it. This was a great finding for me, I was looking for nice barbershop near my office and I was lucky. This place is great and have a nice vibe. Decent quality haircut and my wait wasn't too long. However, the lady who was doing my haircut was also the person who was telling walk-ins to wait (and how long the wait was). Because of this, I felt like she kept getting distracted and that my haircut took much longer than it should have. They really should have a receptionist or a sign to mitigate this.read more

Great haircut for my very curly, difficult hair! I've been trying to find a new barber for a while since mine left my local spot. Went to several places across Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan - some were ok but most just wrecked my very curly hair. Yuri here at premium did a nice scissor cut, came out even, well shaped, still have curls at the top like I wanted. All in about 20 mins during my lunchbreak. Even the price was good. By far, one of the best cuts I've ever had! When I visited, the only two entrances open were the ones off 40th St and 41st St. The shop is closest to the 40th St entrance. This place is the best. Open Sundays, friendly barbers, and consistently quality cuts. I’m sure you could find a slightly cheaper place, but the extra $5-10 for an awesome haircut is a no brainer
