I just moved to the neighborhood and scanned the map for local barbers. I inquired about Pennsport Barber's prices and hours on FB messenger when they were closed. Got my answers that same night. Made my appointment with Ricky for the following morning and was warmly greeted by name when I arrived the next day by Ricky. The environment was quaint but not crammed. 80's hair-metal softly playing in the background as I engaged in a great conversation with owner Dave and my barber Ricky. Left there with a top-notch haircut feeling like they had been my barbershop for years. Upon leaving I knew this will be my new barbershop. It will be yours too if you give 'em a shot.read more

Carlos is awesome. Nice barber who doesn’t rip or push your head around like an animal. Doesn’t burn you with the clippers. Very light touched. He’d be a good tattoo artist also!

I’ve been here twice with two different barbers, Owen and Carlos, I like to keep the same barber like most people but I needed a cut and Owen wasn’t available (sorry dude!) but regardless, I showed them both a picture of how I like my hair cut and they both nailed it. Super friendly environment, very clean especially during these times, everyone wearing masks with hand sanitizer available. Definitely a classic barber shop with good service and good pricesread more

Nothing bad I can say about this place. Everyone is great at what they do and scheduling haircuts is incredibly easy. There's always a story to be told there and its a great environment where you're truly comfortable. If you want to try a new hairstyle, they'll know the right cut for you! I can't recommend them enough.read more

Best shop in Philly! All the staff is super nice and excellent at what they do. Carlos is an absolute professional. All barbers can be booked online and they take walk-ins as well. They will recommend a cut or do exactly as you ask. I’ve been to about a dozen over priced and under trained barbers in the city. This is not one of them. I am so happy I found Pennsport and will go no where else!read more

I go here because Frank has been cutting my hair for the last 4 or 5 years, does a great job every time, and we've gotten past the point where we need to talk a lot about what I want done with my hair. He just knows how to cut it, and he does a great job.All the other barbers that I met seem like great people, and I have to imagine they're just as good as Frank or they wouldn't be working there.Give it a shot and I promise you won't be disappointed.read more

This place is awesome! Been going here since a little before COVID era, and they are amazing every time! Carlos is a legend! The haircuts, and other services that this shop offers is amazing!!! I’ve had my hair cut here three times since moving to Philly. I always book whoever is available as I usually book last minute. Every barber has done an excellent job. Can't recommend enough Mike was so patient and thoughtful with my son , who hasn't cut his hair in some time due to another barber at a different shop messing it up. He took the time to really go over everything with him and even showed him a look book. My sons hair is perfect and he's so much more confident with his perfect little young Leo cut he's even been asking for it to be styled. After years of searching I think I may have found my “forever barber” in Mike! He’s great at what he does (I get twice-monthly haircuts and beard trims from him), is consistent in his work and pleasant attitude, and on top of that he’s gifted with cutting hair for young kids (my 8 year old manages to still for Mike like he never has for other barbers).The shop itself is fun and quirky and is one of the few establishments that seems to appeal equally to both longtime and newer Philadelphians.read more
