I have gotten my hair cut at Otis and Finn a number of times, this was my first cut in a few months due to covid. This cut with Corren reminded of me why I switched from my previous barber and started coming to Otis and Finn. The professional yet comfortable environment with skilled barbers always has me looking and feeling good when I leave.read more

Hunter did a superb job, from listening to what I thought I wanted for a haircut to the conversation while he cut. His attention to detail made it a great experience. Highly recommend him.

Great shop, great staff. I've had my haircut at every barbershop in Greenpoint and from top to bottom, this is the best. Quality, craftsmanship, attitude, vibe... all around 10/10

The best barbershop in LIC staff is down to earth. Corren understood what I was looking for in terms of a cut and a shave. Not only was he a good barber, but he's was very genuine and was a master of his craft. He was recommended to me by my neighbor, and I would highly recommend him and this barbershop to everyone that lives in the neighborhood.read more

Hunter is awesome. After a couple of bad experiences with super heteronormative or otherwise unwelcoming barbers, I finally found a barber with masterfully precise skills and a super kind, easy going demeanor. 10/10 would recommend.read more

This is the second Orris &Finn I've gone to and both have been great. All their barbers go through a demanding internship before cutting hair and quality control is assured. I am middle age and comfortable, not feeling out of place despite the hip, young vibe. They are sure to offer you a drink or water as you wait. I've been having Bex cut my hair if you want a name to try. Great relief knowing I can get a quality cut that makes me look good.read more

Kenneth gave me the best hair cut I have ever had since I moved to New York 8 years ago. He literally made me feel so comfortable. Although, my request was so vague, he made the best out of it and made me look so good.read more

Went for a quick haircut while on a lunch break from work, so I was in a bit of a rush and didn't inspect the haircut before leaving. Also worth noting I was flying out on holiday the next morning so I didn't have time to return to the barber shop that day.When I returned to my apartment after the haircut, I realized my side burns were completely uneven with one diagonal/higher and one straight/lower. Other parts of my hair were also surprisingly uneven.The owner of the barber shop was quick to reach out, incredibly responsive and did his best to rectify the situation. Safe to say I won't be returning to that specific barber, but maybe this was just a fluke.read more

Immaculate vibes with great people! I got my hair cut by Bex, who did an amazing job. The trio who opened the shop at this Court Square location (Bex, Dot, Hunter) were all very welcoming and hilarious people. It's awesome to find a place where you can get a get a good cut and just feel comfortable being around other LGBTQ+ people. Definitely recommend for the lighthearted atmosphere and the care Bex took to help me find the right look for me, as I'd wanted something slightly more femme and out of her usual style. She absolutely nailed it, and my hair's still looking great even after rolling out of bed past a night of partying.read more

Because of a recommendation, I made an appointment at Otis and Finn with Dot. I was freaked out because I completely destroyed my hair trying to fix another barber’s terrible job. I’m sooooo happy with what Dot did for me. Not only did she fix the mistakes, but I walked out of there with a WAY better cut/style. She paid attention to detail and took her time. She’s a really great barber. I live across the Hudson, but it is well worth the drive to come back and see her twice a month. Also - the vibe was really chill. It’s hard finding a good barbershop with a relaxed and fun atmosphere.read more

I've been going to Otis & Finn for about two years now and I’ve been getting my hair cut by Dot. I love this place bc I never feel awkward or out of place, it’s a very welcoming environment. I’ve been following Dot since they started their barber journey. This shop is super welcoming with their shot of bourbon, great playlists and excellent conversation. I get my hair cut once a month by Dot and I appreciate the time she spends making sure every hair on my head is perfectly trimmed. She is truly an artist. I love going to any of the Otis & Finn locations but I especially love the cozy Pearson Street location bc of Dot. You’ll thank me later ;)read more

I had an excellent experience at Otis & Finn Barbershop. Chris was my barber, and he was fantastic! He was very attentive, explaining what he was going to do and why throughout the haircut. Chris consistently checked in with me to ensure I was happy with the progress, which I really appreciated. On top of that, he was kind and funny, making the entire experience enjoyable.
