Description
Mildred has that white, rustic, minimalist feel. There's 3 chairs near the entrance and a few more in the back for hair coloring/women's haircare, with a bench in between for chilling. It's not a huge place, but it's relaxed and nice. The barbers are friendly and will talk with you to figure out the exact look you want. They will also offer you a complementary beer, coffee, or water while you wait. And if that's not enough, there's a friendly dog, which may greet you at the door. You can pay with credit card, but use cash for tips.

best barber shop in the city. The shop provides unbelievable quality and attention to detail to every cut I've gotten. Prices are very reasonable and shop itself is very accommodating. The single best aspect of Mildred is the barbers themselves. Every barber I've had is not only skillful, but extremely attentative and kind. They chat with me when I'm feeling chatty and let me chill when I'm in that mood. I have never felt more comfortable the entire barber/haircut experience than when I'm at Mildred.read more

Best barber shop in the area. The staff is lovely. Paul has been cutting my hair for 3 years now. Local subways nearby + Citibike access. Professional, punctual, and just awesome to be around.

They are very friendly and flexible, you can check in online simply on their website. Their price is competitive to another barber shops, but another shops usually aren't so big and hygienic. They have a waiting area with sofas and you'll get coffee or drinks while you are waiting free of charge.read more

Have never had a better experience at a Barbershop! Fully recommend. I'll be moving further in January but will make the trip down to LES to continue getting my hair cut here.Logan was my barber - he showed me a few options he thought would work, we discussed and of course he did a flawless job.However, what really stood out was how friendly all the staff (Logan included) were and how it felt like I'd been going there for years even though if was my first time. I tend to be picky with where I cut my hair and even rare that I post reviews. Just moved to New York and I’ve been on the hunt, which probably just ended now. Come get that fire cut bois 🔥I’ve been here twice and the guys are super chill, place is clean and maintained well. They have complimentary beer and hot towels.
