Wish I found this place years ago. I usually go to a local barber near the office but find them a bit dirty and rough around the edges. Went to Made Man for the first time today and found it to be a relaxing environment with true pros who are a step above the neighborhood barber. Walked out with a much better cut than the typical barber clipper cut. Perfect for guys who want a great haircut in professional and grown up environment at a very fair price ($31). Great service and excellent cut!I got a haircut with Vinny who was really nice. He took the time to ask me what I wanted each part of my head cut. He asked me if I had a photo which I tried to look for one and he pulled up a couple of photos as well. $100 haircut for a third of the price (not including tip of course buts that's up to you), Made Man is just about the only place I go for a cut these days. Ask for Steve he always does an incredible job, and he always makes for great conversation. Highly recommended, they have never let me down even when I can't get Steve. Steve is an artists with both scissors and clippers. I keep my hair long on top pushed back and a short fade on the sides. This is the best place to get your hair cut - for both men and women!! I scheduled a 40-minute hair cut: I got a shampoo, hair cut, head massage, hair treatment, and received such great attention to detail! Adam is the so talented! Moved to NYC a few months ago and was lucky enough to find this place for my second haircut. I like to take my sides in very tight and the first barber I tried out was not confident enough to go so short on the sides. Wallace, on the other hand, is a master! He is incredibly easy to talk to, super nice, and above all, confident in his abilities to cut seemingly any type of hair. It’s very hard to find a great scissor cut for medium length men’s hair - I’ve tried a dozen barbers in the city. Happy to report that I've found my new place! Look no further than Adam at Made Man Barber Shop on E 23rd. Adam is the best. He’s a master at scissor cuts, really knows hair, and a really nice guy. I like this place a lot because in addition to the quality, it's also really easy to book on their site from my phone and can usually get a same day apt (if you have medium length hair and want to maintain it, make sure you ask for “scissor cut” not haircut, it’s a couple bucks more but totally worth it) They also do a great job on my short beard, it's hard to find someone who does the hair + beard just right! I've gone to this place multiple times in the past with no issues however today I went in for a walk-in haircut around a quarter past 1. The barber I had was nice enough but I am not happy with the way he cuts hair. I got my sides cut short, however, he did not properly fade it so now there are distinct lines and patches of hair that was missed with the electric razor. He also does not know when to stop cutting. I wanted about an inch off the top and he even confirmed the length with me before cutting. Before I knew it he took off 2 inches towards the front and even more in the back.I liked this place because they were always convenient and could fit in walk-ins but considering how long it will take me to grow out the top again I won't come back.I wish I got his name, but he is a younger guy.1/5 for this experience.Generally 4.7 to 5 out of 5 the many other times I've gone here.read more

Richie is the man! He has been my one and only barber In NYC for the last eight years.
