Hair Mechanix in Shelby Township, MI is a fun, MALE-friendly place where men get what they deserve. Built by guys for guys and powered by better girls. The attentive and talented staff offer all current and vintage hairstyles. The barber shop is lined with big screen TV's and photos covering the walls, along with rock music on the speakers. Also, you can sit back and relax with a complimentary beer. Each haircut includes a wash and hot towel neck shave. Hair color and waxing services are available as well. Bailey was awesome - loved my haircut. My 2 kids also liked their hair style. Reasonably priced (shampoo included), courteous staff, scheduling ease etc. definitely will make me come back.

I am new to Shelby township and had a barber in Detroit for 5 years. I have engagement photos in two days so I went to a haircut place right down the street from this place and they messed up my hair very very bad. I was able to come here immediately after and Melanie worked a miracle to get my hair looking how it should be. I got right in and they treated me as if I had been going to them for years. Katie is outstanding at her job! She has been cutting my hair and trimming my beard for about 3 years. This is the best places to get a haircut. My experience had always been awesome and the hairstylists are very nice. Holly is my girl, she takes good care of me. I've had other girls over the years and they all were good. I love the neck shave and hot towel on the face while my hair gets washed. I always make an appointment 6 weeks out and have never had to wait more than a few minutes beyond my appointment time. They're always friendly and courteous.read more

I have been coming to this location for about two years and I absolutely love it. The staff at this location is top notch. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted, signed in and are always offered a beverage.I would love to shout out Katie. She is absolutely wonderful and knows how to make you look your best. The moment you sit in her chair, you are taken off and you leave looking your best.I do not trust anyone to cut my hair but Katie, she’s your girl. I don’t live close, but I also make the 45 minute drive to see her.If you are looking for an experience when getting your hair cut, you should head to this location. I was first introduced to Hair Mechanix in 2021. I am so happy to have found such friendly folks that are highly skilled in their craft. Holly in particular has been absolutely amazing. She does her job exceptionally and goes above and beyond it. She is highly professional and makes the person in chair feel super comfortable. As someone that travels a lot for work, I have to get my hair cut at the places that I am visiting. However, I try to make sure that I can get an appointment with Holly as she has helped me with my hair and beard. She has always been a great resource to get ideas about what would or would not suit the look that I am trying to achieve. She is very open minded and friendly.I would highly recommend anyone reading this review to get an appointment at this location and see the value that I do for themselves.
