Hair Mechanix in Brighton, MI is a fun, MALE-friendly place where men get what they deserve. Built by guys for guys and powered by better girls. The attentive and talented staff offer all current and vintage hairstyles. The barber shop is lined with big screen TV's and photos covering the walls, along with rock music on the speakers. Also, you can sit back and relax with a complimentary beer. Each haircut includes a wash and hot towel neck shave. Hair color and waxing services are available as well. It's certainly a man focused experience. Locations in Michigan, Florida, and Pennsylvania.

Sierra was terrific. I came into this overtly men’s shop because I wear my hair shirt with an all around undercut. She was awesome. She mentioned her next appointment was 25 away yet she didn’t seemed rushed at all. My hair looked terrific and I’m returning in 4 weeks to see her again.read more

I come here ever 2 or 3 weeks for a hair cut and waxing. Lina and Jess do a great job and know exactly what I want when I walk in the door.

Jess L has been my barber for a long time. She does an incredible job and I always make sure to book with her. You will not be disappointed to book with her. Ashley Kay did such an amazing job cutting my hair. If you go to this location then request her! You will not be disappointed! She not only listened to what I wanted but also suggested what would work with my lifestyle and look good with my face shape. I've had many other stylist there do my hair there and it was okay to say at best, but Ashley Kay really cared and took the time to make it a truly special experience.read more

This is my go to but it is hit or miss. Sure I know with a walk in I will wait but when told 10 minutes and it is 50…... That's a bit of a difference. I think the quality of the cuts are ok and it's up to who you have as far as level of service and if they want to work or not.read more

I also had an hot towel facial performed, which was actually very nice BUT the skin fade was the worst I have ever seen. I left and immediately went to Razors in Howell which was able to fix the hair right up. I would not recommend having a fade of any kind done by Maci. I feel bad saying that but it cost me another 40 dollars to get it fixed. Razors is 10 dollars cheaper than Hair Mechanix too which is incredible, so I left a 20 dollar tip because they got me in RIGHT before closing.(When I say worst skin fade I've ever seen, I genuinely mean that.)read more

I think her name was Ashley, but she really knocked my hair cut out of the park. I told her I was getting cleaned up for a wedding and she took the extra time to make sure all of the lines in my fade were clean and straight and went above and beyond with my facial hair. First of I want to say the experience of this place is Great, from just the hair cut to being offered a free beer, then having the a hair stylist wash your hair as well, GREAT!!! Renea truly gives an MVP haircut service. She offers oils and facial creams that no other hair stylist has offered me before. She took the time for small details, sharing little tricks that only takes 5 sec to do. She even took the time to face her little space heater near me because those cold rainy Michigan days can make it feel a lot colder in that place, especially with the door constantly opening.read more

I took my 12 year old son here for a hair cut he desperately needed (you know hideous preteen long hair they think is cool). Amy (think that was her name) did an amazing job. Jen is the absolute best.i have been going to her for years she is the only person I will let cut my hair. Jen makes sure your haircut is perfect every time and never rushes you to get you out the door. Plus her personality is one of a kind she will have you laughing your whole cut. Getting a cut from Jen is a whole experience and I bring both my sons and my best friend here to get a cut. My son has autism and has issues with getting his hair cut. I booked an appointment for both my husband and my son with Ashleigh. She was AMAZING!!! Not only did she do a wonderful job on my husbands hair but she did an even better job on my sons! He is only 12 months old and was moving around like crazy. Ashleigh was wonderful with him and did everything to make our experience amazing.
