Hair Mechanix in Auburn Hills, MI is a fun, MALE-friendly place where men get what they deserve. Built by guys for guys and powered by better girls. The attentive and talented staff offer all current and vintage hairstyles. The barber shop is lined with big screen TV's and photos covering the walls, along with rock music on the speakers. Also, you can sit back and relax with a complimentary beer. Each haircut includes a wash and hot towel neck shave. Hair color and waxing services are available as well. Wanted to give a good review thanks to Jessica and how she makes me feel. She's funny and sweet, pays attention to all the important things, which is all gravy compared to the awesome haircut she gives. She will spend the extra time to make a great cut into an amazing one! Haven't always had the best experiences at this location, some have been good and some have been really bad. I was ready to not come back at all, due to bad service and ppl just not caring. "I know the sign says walk-ins but I'm leaving in a half hour so i cant take you in now." "Oh you're helping someone now?" "No i just cant be late leaving.." .. A nice haircut experience. Definitely leans into the "mechanic/auto shop" theme, so if you enjoy that you'll like it quite a bit. Washed my hair after cutting it which was quite nice.

Stefana has been cutting my hair for about 10 years. She does excellent work, is super friendly and always prompt. Best hairdresser around! I get a haircut, wash, eyebrow waxing and beard trim every appointment and I am always happy with how it comes out.read more

I’ve been going to this location for over 2 years and Stefana has been my go-to girl. She has been amazing, caring, and super attentive to my needs whenever. Awesome haircuts every time. Just had my hair cut by Allison. This is probably the best my hair has ever looked. She took a completely different approach, than any past stylist I’d had prior. Allison studied how my hair laid, asked what I wanted, used her experience as to what would look best, then styled accordingly. I stopped in for the first available haircut last week and Jessica cut my hair. She was friendly and welcoming but the top was cut shorter than the sides which was opposite of what I wanted and the back was uneven. I went back in to ask to have it fixed and Michelle corrected my hair, washed it and and cleaned up the neck area. She didn't charge me, wouldn't even except a tip because she said I already paid. Michelle saved my hair and gave me a reason to come back.read more

I needed a last minute haircut and have been wanted to try a new place so I gave Hair Mechanix a shot and I’m glad I did! I made my reservation about 3 hours before. The website is easy to use and shows you all your options. The shop is conveniently located right off of 75.The atmosphere was great & I was in my seat before my reservation time. Stefana was very friendly, knowledgeable and paid great attention to detail. She explained what works best for my hair style & gave me such a clean cut! I know that this is a barber shop, but Allison told me to come in and she would cut my hair for me. Felt a little weird being the only woman getting my hair done there. But Allison made me feel so comfortable being there. And I honestly say it was one of my best experiences getting my hair done. She did exactly what I asked her to do.
