Allison Lawrence is one of the best Barbers that Detroit Barber Co has. I let her cut and style my hair at her own discretion and it was a great choice. A hard part bald fade, lined up beard, and a good masculine looking eyebrow wax. I’m feeling like a new man.read more

I have gone to Allison twice since I just moved here to Michigan. I must say, Allison knows how to cut. She is very attentive to what I ask of her and she executes my demands in a quality manner. She takes her time and she takes the time to really do a good job. i asked her for a low taper and she did a better job than any barber I have seen since I have been here. She cuts the top perfectly as well. I tried so many barbers around the area but my search has come to a close since I have found her. She is great!!read more

Worst botched haircut I've ever received my entire life. The stylist was obviously a newbie. I sensed it the second I sat in the chair. I should have asked for a more experienced stylist or just left, but gave her a chance. Big mistake for not trusting my instinct. I truly had to go to my alternative salon for a fixer cut. Truly disappointed. 3 stars only for salon atmosphere.read more

I love this place. It’s the best barbershop I’ve ever been to, and very welcoming. Allison always gives me a perfect haircut and hot shave. She is the best barber I’ve ever had, and very easy to talk to. The products they sell in store are great as well.read more

The location is really convenient and the ambiance is top notch. The scalp treatment was intense and felt great. It really helped with my dry scalp. Allison did an amazing job with the side fade and trim. I strongly suggest adding a shampoo and scalp treatment.read more

I cannot praise Allison Lawrence's expertise enough, she fixed what was a "strange Mo Howard" upnorth hair cut into one of my best haircuts I have received at a great price. This place is awesome. Barbershop on the 2nd floor with Lucky Detroit coffee shop, straight out of a movie, below. Both have such cool vibes and feels. Haircut was great and coffee even better. Don’t judge the comparison….I’m a coffee junky! Both places are a must go to.read more

I received a great cut from Lilly at ‘Detroit Barber Co.’. She is very friendly and sociable which compliments her skillful hair cutting artistry. I used the term ‘artistry’ because I keep my hair short along with my beard which seems a simple cut. Others just run a razor over it and call it a day. Lilly really made my cut look great with exceptional fades and beard lines with patience and care. I would highly recommend this place and especially this barber. In addition it is in a great area with a quaint coffee shop down stairs. Just a great place !!read more

Neco is amazing at cutting my biracial son's hair. She has skills and he always leaves the shop feeling extra confident. What I can always appreciate is that when you make an appointment, there is little to no waiting which is hard to come by at a lot of barber shops. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Always on-time, never rushed, and everyone at DBC is friendly and personable. Jose is my guy. A perfect haircut, every time, and a good dude as well. That being said, if Jose wasn't available for any reason, I (would be sad) but wouldn't be scared to get my hair cut from any of the expert barbers at DBC.If you care about how your head looks, you owe it to yourself to spend a little more on a haircut and get a good one!read more

Keith is the best barber in Michigan. He’s extremely meticulous and methodical, and also is just a really great guy. Absolutely worth the cost if you care about having a good haircut.Further, the location is awesome. Right on Chesterfield and Maple, it’s walking distance from home if you live in the QLE, and if weather is bad you can always park in the lot.This place is awesome; I recommend everything about it unequivocally.read more

Fantastic experience every time. I go to Ezrah her work is always perfection. Love the atmosphere as well. I really won’t go anywhere else. I've only had my hair cut once here and they did a great job. It has a fun retro vibe decor. The staff was friendly. Its interesting how a coffee/pastry shop is downstairs. Grab a cup of joe before or after. ...it makes using your time more effective. Walking in for the first time is a little confusing because it isn't apparent immediately that the barber and coffee shop are in the same location; Only a small floor sign points out that the barber is upstairs. In terms of price point its on the higher end (but so is everyone else going up too).read more

I had my first appointment at the Birmingham location for a haircut today with Neco and she nailed it. She listened really well to my description of how I like it cut and executed the haircut and style perfectly, with some extra panache as well. Usually I’ll skip the style and product at the end of my haircuts and go right home to shampoo and style it myself (I’m picky, it took me about 35 years of daily styling to figure it out and I wouldn’t expect my barber/stylist to have the same level of knowledge/detail with it, curly/wavy hair can be challenging), but went with it and let her have at it. I even liked how she styled it so much I kept it all day. The haircut and style looks great, it was a good experience, and there is a great café coffee shop below on the ground floor that looks popular. I already booked my next appointment.read more

Took my 2 sons (4 and 9) to get their hair cut and both stylist were incredible! took time to ask what the boys wanted (my 9 year old was very apprehensive to cut his "flow" to a fade) and Ezrah was so great and he is SO HAPPY with the cut.read more
