I love Chris, he's amazing! He does a great job cutting my hair and he definitely free hands a lot of it, leaving my haircut looking more natural and not too manicured. We always have great conversation and is really easy to talk to. Great barbershop overall as well. The dialogue in there is usually really fun and light hearted. This place is great! You can make an appointment online, they're open 7 days and have multiple great barbers. I've been going to Nichole and have not used any other barber there. However, if you're particular about your haircut, you'll look at other barbers and their jobs. They all do fantastic jobs. If you want a place to get a great cut, have some good/relaxing conversation, this is your place. There's a seating area...with beer...and when it's your turn, the barber comes to get you. At the end of the cut, you'll get a nice, warm towel to get all the little hairs off your head. Nice touch!read more

He was patient with me changed a lot of clippers to get the exact style and treated me real good. I showed him a special cut and he took extra time than the 20 minute appointment to achieve that style. I was really satisfied and happy :)read more

I am a common customer of Giovanni's, and I think it's a very nice barber shop!The barbers are very open to conversation with the customers. In the waiting room, there is a Wii U, and a small selection of drinks, so plenty of entertainment for kids. Kind of sad they took out the popcorn machine though :/The haircuts are decent, and I typically have very few minor issues with the them, but they are really not bad for haircuts.The main reason I only gave 4 stars is because of the prices. I am aware that you do not get an hourly pay, so you need to make money solely off of your appointments, but I feel like 25$ for a fairly decent haircut is a little much. Despite this though, I enjoy the experience here and will continue to go here.Edit:I just wanted to let you know that I ended up overhearing what you said in the shop about the review I posted. I believe you misunderstood a couple of things I wrote.When I said your haircuts were "fairly decent," I meant that the haircuts were pretty good for haircuts in general (like in a good way). I apologize if that came off in the wrong way. In addition to that, the reason I said that I had minor issues with the haircuts is because I am very indecisive and am never satisfied with practically anything. (Haha)I haven't gone to many haircut places, so I wasn't aware that 25$ was a fair price for a haircut. Now after some research, I know that 25$ is an average price for haircuts. It's just that when you say 25$ out loud, it sounds like a whole lot. Also, I wasn't aware that living costs were rising or anything like that.You may have been a little confused by some of the things I said on the last paragraph. I kind of thought that, based on my name, you would have assumed that I am not a parent. This shop is AMAZING! The atmosphere is welcoming and so friendly. The barbers are so easy to talk to and i laughed the whole time i was there. They have a comfortable waiting area with free drinks. This was my first experience here and I'll say that I wasn't disappointed. Giovonni's is a great example of the modern day barber shop. Friendly staff and a great atmosphere. The owner, Nicole, cut my hair and did a great job. I was completely happy with the end product, especially given what she had to work with..😉 A basic haircut is $25, so don't go in there thinking it's Floyd the barber and you're going to get a haircut for $10. But you definitely get what you pay for here, guys. Been looking for a new barber that's closer to home and I think I've found it.read more

Good spot to get your hair cut in the Media area. They took a huge risk with opening during the quarantine, but they conducted their business in a professional manner and adhering to guidance for safety of customers and employees. I've always had trouble finding a place/ a person who can cut my hair exactly the way I like it. I started going to Giovanni's about a year or so ago, and it seems I always get a better cut each time. They really care about not just quality but it seems perfection. I also never have to wait, if I do it's only a few minutes and they have drinks for anyone who is waiting ( genius idea btw ), I usually see Natalia who is amazing and seems like she genuinely cares about how you're doing, however I'm confident that anyone there has the ability to do great work. I am personally just a creature of habit so now that Natalia does my hair I'm comfortable going to only her!!! I highly recommend this place, and surprisingly they're priced very reasonably. Super weird for a lot of reasons, one being that my birthday is in December... And it's August... So... This Barber Shop is amazing. Chris cut my son's hair beautifully. The vibe is retro punkish and although they are busy from open to close the staff is kind and accommodating.Nichole is beloved in the community. She is friendly and does a heck of a business. She defied the tyrannical mandates and opened her shop safely so her staff can earn money for their families. Her safety measures and refusal to remain closed made the news! Her clientele is loyal and come from all over to get their shaves and haircuts. I've seen fake reviews on this page from a member of Springfield democrats who has even resorted to fake profiles because he cannot stand a successful business woman who is also running for office. I think it's gross that grown men with families who claim to be part of the "hate has no home here" brigade can be so vile and demeaning, leaving fake reviews. I was in today around noon. Didn’t have an appointment and was driving by… the staff couldn’t have been more friendly and welcoming to me as they were busy with clients in their chairs. Threw the staff off a bit because I'm not a guy but I do have short hair! :-) Depending on your hairstyle, make sure you get the right person. Some are better versed with scissor cuts while others are better with clippers. Neil was my haircutter and, as it turned out, he's great with both. Because it was my first time at Giovanni's, he took great care in listening what I wanted and cut my hair in stages so I could confirm that I was happy with it. I am very happy with the results and plan on returning when it's time for a trim. Overall a great experience at a very reasonable price!read more

My daughter has been to Giovanni's 3 times now for her cut, with a fade on the sides and her beautiful curls trimmed on top. We've always had great, friendly and professional service. This past Friday, Chong was truly exceptional. My daughter loves the recommendations she had for her cut, and everyone at her work was raving about her hair. Chong's eye was artistic and brought an extra edge to the style my daughter wanted. We could easily make a reservation online and Sterling Pig beer was on tap while I waited. I don’t like leaving reviews too much but this shop is an exception. Special shoutouts to Mark. He’s always great and friendly as well as accommodating. Also, I do like how efficient he is as we finished my hair cut before the expected completion time. My only complaint is that I am complimented on my haircut so much I am getting too much attention. I just got my beard trimmed this time, but Eric did a great job. Everyone was nice and they gave you a glass of cider to enjoy during the trim.

Gerry always does a fantastic job. Takes a lot of care in what he does and I walk away looking sharp. Best part is the hot lather neck shave and hot towel afterwards. Highly recommend this spot. Very relaxed attitude, little dogs running around, and an accepting atmosphere (all are welcome).read more

Awesome place, great atmosphere! Everyone in there was super polite and easy going. You can tell the barbers here take pride in their work. Gerry cut my hair and he really went above and beyond to make sure I had a nice cut! Really couldn't be happier and this will definitely be my go to shop. Highly recommend trying them out!read more
