Their barbers provide all types of haircuts including tape-ups, flat tops, fades, shape ups, and kids cuts. They also offer face massages, along with relaxers, and back shaves. It's not a huge place, but they offer good service at reasonable prices. You can make an appointment, but walk-in wait times usually aren't bad.

Danny, our buddy and barber, and Joseph, another barber. I have known these guys since i moved into the hood in 2006. These 3 guys are the nicest and best barbers in all of NYC, in my opinion.They always have smiles on their faces even as busy as they get. They are also funny with their jokes and whatnot. The appointment books for these 3 are filled everyday for every appointment.East 6th Street Barber Shop is clean, neat, tidy, and warm & cozy. They are always very professional and the shop is maintain likewise.They renovated the entire shop about 5 years ago, and the place have really shined like an old clean penny.read more

I’ve been going to Danny, Mike, and crew for the last 6 or 7 years. It started off as a convenient place to get a good haircut, but even after moving out of the area, I still make the trip down there to get my hair cut by these guys. Been going here for 6 months now ever since I started working downtown. I'm very particular about my haircuts. I have zero complaints from this place. Avi is my barber and cuts like a master! Mike (1st Chair) is also very good.Quality of Cuts: Excellent.Customer service: Welcoming, accommodating and very friendly.Appointments: Yes but also take walk-ins.Price: $17 for a regular cut (Ask for First Time Discount).Ps. I've walked into other barbershops where if you're not a regular, they make you feel unwanted, give you looks or just treat you like an inconvenience. This place IS NOT one of those. My first time there I was treated like I've been going for YEARS. Very hard to find great, overall friendly customer service like this.read more

Danny is the best barber I have ever had the pleasure of cutting my hair. I can honestly say he has given me the best haircut of my life and each time I visit East 6th Street is better than the last. Been going here for years and when the pandemic hit these guys provided a safe clean environment that restored some sense of normalcy to life. Cannot recommend this shop enough.read more

The Esst 6th Street Barber Shop located on East 6th Street off 3rd Avenue in the East Village is the place to go for a nice trim and a nice clean shave.I have been frequenting these guys since they opened in 2006 or 2007. They keep all the equipments in sanitizing solution when not in use, and they have always popped in a new razor to trim my peach fuzz.The place is kept spotless as they clean and sweep up after each customer.They do get quite busy most of the time, and I recommend an appointment. Otherwise, you can wait half hour or 2 customers.read more

Went in for a walk-in, came out with a the best haircut of my life. I went out and people were smiling at me, someone on the street asked for my number. I went home and finished my masters thesis a year in advance. My coffee shop punched three holes in my punch card for one coffee. This is life-changing s***. I'm gonna ask for a raise, I'm gonna run for office. Fortunately I didn't get a hot shave otherwise my power level would be way too high. Good place, talented barbers.read more

Best cut I have had in the city. Not only does Little Mike give the best fade I have ever gotten but the chats are amazing. The two Mike brothers always remember who I am and our conversations pick up right where they left off. The haircuts only get better each time you go. I actively go out of my way in the city to get my hair cut here. I moved uptown but I still come down to 6th st. to get my haircut. The quality of the haircut is easily worth double what they charge. There is not many barber shops to trust in the city but 6th st. Barber shop gives the highest quality cuts for an affordable price and I refuse to get my haircut by anyone else in the city.read more

Been coming here for the past year or so after having moved around for 8+ years in NYC. I used to pay $70 a haircut before tip at HAAR & had to wisen up. Mike & his team are all talented barbers, as evidenced by the many positive reviews here.I had a few different guys cut my hair at first, but Sam is my barber. He takes his time, which is something that shouldn’t be taken for granted in NYC.$35 haircut before tip which is as good as it gets for the quality of the haircut.They take reservations along with walk-ins.Highly recommend.read more
