Easy to make an appointment. Cut was quick but REALLY well done. Average price for the city. Bridget was great, and didn't force any conversation which I really appreciated.

This was my first time coming here and Dave cut my hair. Before I go any further please make sure you go to their website to schedule an appointment I tried to walk in last week not knowing how busy they get and the entire day was booked. Dave was fantastic I might even call him Michelangelo with a mustache. This is the cleanest most detailed haircut I've ever had in my life. He went the extra mile making sure every line was perfect and that not a single hair was out of place. I also liked the fact that he didn't do any small talk, personally I like to just sit quietly and let the master work and Dave is certainly a master of his craft. I really like the environment of the shop it's has an old school barbershop feel from hardwood floors and the metal signs about old hair products to the classic barbershop pole outside. If you've gotten this far I hope I don't need to say this but definitely come here if you want a great haircut!read more

First time experience: There's two types of barbers, one is good at talking and making the customer feel good, the other is good at their work and makes you look good. Dave's the latter. I was surprised by the amount of time he spent on my haircut. It's been one week, and it still looks great. I will continue to go back.read more

I've come here three times, and gotten an excellent cut each time. You have to (really emphasizing this here) schedule in advance because they're busy, and they take their time. Both good signs. My guy Terrance is a master, and does an incredible job.read more

Best haircut and beard trimming in Philly I must say. Looked for recommendations on Google before coming here, was a bit skeptical about taking a haircut and trimming my beard here even though it was a 5 star barber shop on google already, but now I believe it is a 5 star indeed. I could feel that the barber could actually feel what I exactly wanted him to do with my image. Sorry couldn’t catch your name man. I went to Dave's because of the amazing reviews and I was really hoping they would be able to do my hair. Rickey and another barber (so upset I did not get his name) looked at the style and were honest and upfront. They could not do what I was asking for, but they knew someone that could. I truly appreciate both barbers taking the time to help me out. I still wish they could have done my hair. The shop looks like a cool place and both guys were cool guys. For everyone that has the privilege of visiting them, you are in for a treat. Great establishment! Great job gentlemen!read more

I went to Dave's for a beard trimming. I booked an appointment with Bridget, and she was absolutely great. Her work was meticulous and when she was done, my beard looked great. Highly recommended.

Been getting my cuts done here for about 2 years. Dave and Bridget are good. Had an annoying encounter with Terence about the 10 minute lateness policy where I called in he said it was ok as long as I was just 10 minutes late, got there in that time frame as he was locking the door telling me he was 'gonna get lunch, sorry'. Dude, I called you 15 minutes ago. Terence also takes forever to cut your hair for the same amount of effort.read more

Today was my first time at Dave’s and Bridget gave me the best hair cut of my life. My hair has never received such thorough attention before and the result was well beyond my satisfaction. In addition, the atmosphere in the barbershop was excellent and all of the barbers created a friendly vibe while also clearly being very passionate about the work that they were doing. First time here today. Ricky did an excellent job cutting my hair. I have never received a haircut in which so much attention was paid to every minute detail of my hair. The professional staff has cut my son's hair perfectly. She is always so friendly and professional. She was able to put the kids at ease if they are nervous which is important when cutting kids' hair. The cutting was great. Five-star service! I was with my brother here for his haircut. It's a relaxing and friendly atmosphere. The straight razor shave is the facial for manly men. The experience is a treat. There's nothing like a hot towel on your face or the manly fragrance of shaving cream to sap the stress right out of your body. We got home very happy. As he said, he loved his haircut. I had an outstanding experience with this shop. I was in town for a few weeks and needed to finally get rid of the lockdown mane that hadn't been touched in months. The appt booking was easy and friendly, and the shop was super clean. Ricky did an awesome job. I showed him a picture of my pre-pandemic cut and he got right to work. He absolutely nailed it. It's been a couple weeks since and the cut has grown out nicely, but it's time for a cleanup. I live in NYC but I'm gonna wait for my next visit to Manayunk and book another appt with this shop. I usually get my hair cut by Bridget here. She does a terrific job. Took 1-2 visits and since then my hair comes out the exact same way I want it whenever I go back. The staff are very friendly and love you chat while they work if that’s your thing. Shop is clean and the prices are very fair.
