Best cut I've ever had. Roshard was extremely patient and attentive. He was also always communicating with me throughout the haircut to make sure I was getting the look I preferred. Highly recommended. The shop looks great in my opinion, 3 seats and multiple barbers around. They also have this big dog that is super friendly although maybe a bit stronger than he knows. I've been coming to Black Rabbit for the past year now and have gotten haircuts from three different barbers. Overall their consistency and value can't be beat. The staff are professional and do a great job each time. They offer you a beer when you get in, there's usually a doggo from one of the barber's to greet you, just a great atmosphere!read more

They had free disposable masks for them to work around when I walked in and it felt very safe given the pandemic. Mathew did an incredible job with my hair and was a pleasure to be around!

Believe it or not finding a good barber in NYC is a challenge! Luckily I found Black Rabbit today in Bushwick, and the owner Matthew cut my hair. Check in was a breeze, their online appointment system is easy to use. Matthew was very attentive, professional, and really knew his craft. We were able to reminisce about old New York. One of the best haircuts I've had in a long time, also trying some new product. I will definitely be coming back here! Looking forward to their new space.read more

Im glad i found this little hip barber shop. My barber, Heath was nice and did a great job. He even put a hot towel on my face. Renewed ! My cut was $25- a steal!

I generally do my own beard but decided to have it done professionally for my wedding. The vibe in this shop is exceptional from the relaxing background music to the decor. Matt is a true professional and master barber true to what I consider an almost lost art. Very personable and makes you feel at home. I was even offered a beer. I will be making my way back there at least monthly.read more

Awesome barbershop! I went there today for the first time, and Michael cut my hair. He did a great job and was also super honest and straightforward with me. I just let him do his thing. I have a huge bald spot in the back and he just grabbed my head and said “Ok, this is here and it ain’t going away. You know that, right”? I sheepishly said “Yes”, and then he laid out his plan to make my hair look its best with what I got, and he was totally correct! Best haircut I’ve had in ages. Yeah, it’s twice the price of my old go to barber in Manhattan, but he was way better and worth every penny. Black Rabbit is now going to be my barbershop, and Michael will be my barber.read more

Got a haircut from Brett that was hands down the best haircut I've received in my life. He gave me exactly what I asked for and added his own unique touch. The service exceeded expectations; if you want to feel like you're getting your money's worth, this is the place. He used homemade aftershave, a full talc powder cleanup afterwards and styled my hair perfectly. I was able to get my haircut and immediately go to a social gathering afterwards, no need to shower to cleanup post cut. The shop is clean, well decorated, professional and a value for the service provided. Can't recommend this place enough!!!read more

A great, friendly barber shop. I am a female with short hair and sometimes feel intimidated going to barber shops but the staff here are very welcoming and inviting.They consistently do a great job and seem to understand what I’m asking for better than I do. Great shop. Really friendly service. Excellent cut. I've been in on 3 different occasions. Two of which I have sat in Noah's chair. Each visit I don't ever feel rushed. My 6 year old son has also got a cut here in Noah's chair with excellent results.I highly recommend this spot.read more

I have always had good cuts here. I usually schedule Brett, and he understand what I am asking for a does a great job. The first time I went here, I used somebody else (I don't remember his name) and he was excellent. If I had only used Brett and the first guy, I would give this place 5 stars.BUT, be careful who you ask for. The last time I was here, I couldn't schedule with Brett, so I chose the other available Barber. I don't want to use his name--at least not this time. I was expecting him to be good because Brett always had been. I carefully explained what I needed, and what barbers often get wrong with my hair, as I had always done with Brett. The barber said he understood. But he ended up giving me what was by far the most inept haircut I've ever received from anybody. It's been a month, and the hack job is still evident. The transition from short sides to longer on top was so bad that a friend of mine said it almost looked like I had a half-mohawk. I don't typically write reviews, but I looked in the mirror this morning and thought, Christ, it's still a mess? This probably warrants a warning to others.Brett is excellent. The first guy I had was excellent. And overall they seem to reflect the quality of the work here. But definitely be careful.read more

Have had several different barbers here over the last 2 years and the haircuts are always A1. Shucks, i’ve gotten compliments on my haircuts 3 weeks later!In particular, Brett always gives great feedback and suggestions on what will look good. Matthew is also great, and all the barbers are the rare breed of both excellent conversation skills AND they can read the room when you don’t feel much like talking.Cute shop, great music, vibey. i can’t recommend enoughread more

These guys are the best. I wouldn’t trust anyone else to cut my hair. Super down to earth and incredibly friendly. I go to Mike P, but the other guys give some great cuts too. 10/10 would recommend.
