Great haircut in a great atmosphere! I was in Philly for a wedding and the groom treated all of the groomsmen to a cut and shave at Barbers & Gents. They created a great atmosphere for all of us to talk and have a good time. Two of us needed a full haircut (instead of just a trim) and they were great at creating new looks for both of us. If you want a new haircut but don't know what to do, come here and they'll give you something awesome. If I lived in Philly, this is where I'd go for every haircut.read more

'Master' means they know what they are doing. Excellent service from Lazar last weekend. My hair is difficult to cut and he knew exactly what to do...and actually was able to DO it to well. Fine customer service as well, he cuts on time and the environment is sociable.read more

I make a point to go here every time that I go to Philly. These guys are true experts at what they do! They are 3rd generation barbers and take great pride in what they do. The shop is clean, beautify decorated, comfortable and they offer drinks free of charge.read more

Haircut is solid, and my stylist and I were both content to minimize small talk and just listen to music, which was pleasant. However, the website advertises $50 wash + cut with a hot towel shave - I was not offered a wash and there was no hot towel to be had, but I was charged $50 anyway, which seemed a bit high for the service offered.read more

I’ve been coming to Barbers & Gents for about two years now, and they consistently do a wonderful job. Greg is always affable, engaging in conversation, and efficient with the cut.I tended to abstain from the whiskey pre-pandemic, since my cuts were usually around 10 am, but it’s a nice, welcoming touch. They have the full array of grooming services. I’ve done the beard trim a few times as a little add-on luxury. Appreciated that I got a clean look, with no razor burn, even as a rather hirsute man.If you’re looking for a good cut in a nice atmosphere, I highly recommend Barbers & Gents.read more

After 3 months of mourning its loss and wearing a hat, I made an appointment with Alex today and I couldn’t be happier with the results. My experience at this Barber Shop was great. Amy is very kind and her hair cutting skills are excellent, she also gave me recommendations to maintain my new haircut, and recommended good brand products; next time I will go back to her. The massage and hot towel are a new and satisfying experience, however I wouldn't particularly recommend it. The service and attention is exceptional. I've been getting my hair cut with Greg for years after a friend recommended him. The shop has a super nice atmosphere and always feels relaxed, which is perfect after a day of work.I have shopped around for other barbers each time I've moved within the city. I found other places that were more convenient for me and, in some cases, $5-$10 cheaper, but I keep coming back. I walk out of Greg's shop looking better, and my hair looks better as it grows out compared to anywhere else I've tried. It's 100% worth the price and the bike ride to get there.read more
