Great place, was in and out in no time. Took 2 boys under 5 and it was easy very personable barbers. All the hair cuts looked great. Will be coming back without a doubt!

If you need a cut, stop in. The staff here is great, and very professional. The haircuts are fast and good. They are very reasonably priced as well.

Always get a good cut here. My son loves the staff. He had a bad experience when he was younger. They are kind people. He's now 6 and doesn't like going anywhere else.

This barber shop is my go to in Middletown. If I had to get a fresh cut for something really important like a wedding, job interview, or whatever, I'm going to Amstel. I usually get a haircut and bread trim. Always looks perfect. I've had my haircut by everyone working there and they all do a great job. Happy I found a place I can trust.read more

Great haircut. They say fast walk-in service on the sign and they mean it. I walked in the same time as another customer on s Saturday afternoon and neither of us even sat down to wait. The shop was well lit and clean. Good prices and good service. I had Rob cut my hair and he did a great job. I'll be back.read more

I have always gone to another barbershop in Middletown and settled for a mediocre experience. I discovered Amstel was close to my place and they do walk ins. So I walked in and Christina gave me an incredible skin fade. Ill tell you ive tried gettinf skinfades everywhere else and the experience wasnt so great. Im not picky, but The experience at amstel was very pleasant and christina was awesome at making conversation and very personable. Great customer service and beautifully clean barbershop. I just started going to this barbershop after using super cuts for years. Very glad I did! The two times I’ve been to Amstel it’s been pretty busy, but they work efficiently getting clients seen. I like that I don’t have to make an appointment. I show up and they take whoever is next based on order of who came in. Doesn’t take long at all. I’ve liked the cuts I’ve gotten so far, and will continue to come back!read more

We go to John and he always does a great job with our 6yo son. He takes his time, is patient and does an amazing job! I would highly recommend him as he does great work no matter what my son has requested ie. Mohawk, phohawk, fades etc.read more

Normally love this place. Quick haircut that is always how I want it. Just a heads up to management- please make it clearer when someone is an apprentice... not everyone can spend an hour getting a haircut, especially when they don't budget the time for it.read more

Christina is the ABSOLUTE best at her craft … she knows what’s she’s doing and you can tell she loves what she does . My son was taken for a haircut somewhere else (not by me lol I was working and we always go to Amstel) at the other place I won’t mention because we all make mistakes they totally messed up his hair before vacation too :( right away I took him to Christine to fix the situation . She took what was an absolute mess and made it into a masterpiece !!! She’s a hair magician , it was cool too , she happened to be training someone and I got to hear how she would fix what happened and she knows alllll the ins and outs and specifics of different hairstyles and shapes of people heads . Super impressed by her as always and just want to tell her THANK YOU!! we will always come to Amstel with her there :)read more
