Not horrible, but not good either. Been there about 6 times. Seems like every time I go, someone different is working. I've had some decent hair cuts and some horrible ones, where my hair is visibly asymmetrical even after corrections. What's consistent is how little time they spend on my hair - usually about 15 minutes, even after I ask them to make corrections. Not worth $20 + tip for anyone with short hair.read more

Amstel Barber shop is a great place to get your hair cut. The employees are friendly and efficient, and the prices fair. I'm always happy when I leave because I know I look good!

Have you ever wanted to wake up and just ooze sexiness? You have? Of course you have. The problem is, you can't do that unless you come here. You can't even come close. You might drip a little...but you ain't gonna ooze it unless you get in one of the chairs here like cold beer gets in your belly.You'll walk in a normal slob like the rest of the world, but you'll walk out like the damn king you were born to be. Again...just oozing that sexiness everywhere. You'll see people just start slipping when they walk behind you...but you won't give a damn. You just left Amstel. I brought my handsome 11 year old son in for a fade, to the Middletown location. Unbelievably, he left there even more handsome! John did an EXCELLENT job on his hair. We are both very happy! Nice clean shop, we didn’t have to wait and John and the other barber working were very nice. This is our new place!read more

Just took my son here for the first time and they did an excellent job. It reminded me of my childhood experiences in the barbershop. Excellent service and friendly atmosphere.

May son got his hair cut here and he liked it. A new guy was cutting his hair and some co workers had to help him out , but the end product was good. We will definitely come back again.

This was my first visit and it was great. I have been growing my beard out for a while and I need it trimmed so I decided to try this barbershop. I explained to the barber the type of beard shape I was going for. He immediately went to work with no hesitations. 15 minutes later I was done and we'll groomed. when we went the first two times they didn't cut his hair right. But we still gave them another try now My son loves this place he loves how they cut his hair he won't go anywhere else but there very professional work! I just think the first guy was new and the second one didn't understand what my son wanted.read more

My son got his hair cut twice the first time I have a review on what had happened the second time I spoke with Rob he was working at a different location I'm assuming because I was in Middletown he was so accommodating that I got the haircut for free and it was done perfect thank you so much I do recommend the Barber's Hunter and Tom among others thank you so much for your help with my son and his hair.read more
