I recently got my haircut here. 08/28/2020As soon as I entered, I was met with a smile. I was greeted by an extremely nice woman named Irena. She was extremely sweet. She was a great listener and even had me laughing.( Hard to find these days and way cheaper than a shrink or a hbo comedy special)She communicated clearly how much she was going to cut off , pausing and asking/ reassuring with me, before she would cut more off which was a great touch and highly appreciated. ( I have bad experiences with this at hotcuts. That's why I went here.) It made me feel extremely comfortable and at ease.She gave me a great haircut.I highly recommend her.read more

My best experience of hair cuts ever have been at this place. Everyone is great over here but Ilina and Lev are the best. Ever since I moved to Hicksville it’s been my only place for hair cuts. Keep up the good service and Happy holidays guys!!!read more

I came in off the street at an off hour to see if a barber was available at that moment to trim my goatee, which was truly beginning to resemble a goat's beard. Lev was available and sat me down in a comfort chair, asked me what I wanted and went to work, first wiping sweat off my face with a hot towel and combing back my hair. I outlined what I wanted with my fingers, which was quite simple, but as we know, simple is the most difficult cut.He went to work and within a short time gave me what I wanted. He then asked if I had time for a razor cut to clean my cheeks seeing my goatee domesticated, said I had more than enough time. I won't go through the steps of the shave, but will simply say he gave a good close shave and finishing with a little massage of my ace and the top of my head. I left feeling considerably better and cleaner.Lev was professional, dexterous with razors and scissors and very personable. He obviously enjoys his job and does it well. I would not think twice about returning, at those times when my goatee takes on a life of its own.read more

Moved from Staten Island (loaded with awesome barber shops but appointment only and intimidating) to Nassau. Found Alex barber shop and will come back here for as long as my barber Lev is there. All the guys are skilled, friendly and quick, No appointment needed. Yes they raised their prices but so did everyone else after covid. I have no problem paying what they want. They remember your cut, your name and even your last conversation. Plus come the holidays they have a pretty sweet holiday setupread more

What an amazing and professional barbershop. Got serviced/blessed by Lev and cant describe how happy and impressed I am by this guys talent in cutting hair.. Definitely a kid friendly environment as well. Never have I seen a barber that finds the right approach to calm my 3 and 7 year old down and let alone give a flawless haircut. Went here for the first time to get my haircut in over six months and Sam took incredible care of me and made me look my best before i head back to school next week. I got the 40 min haircut and he did amazing work, including a deep conditioning treatment that made my hair so soft and no longer super dry. Even gave me advice on how to keep up and improve my hair texture at home. I super recommend this place as they are the best barber I’ve had in the city.read more

I have been going to Alex’s barber shop for 10 years. I have gotten haircuts from every chair in the place. From simple buzz cuts to fades and even the haircut before my wedding. I have been coming to barbershop for more than 10 years at least once a week, very friendly service and no matter what hairstyle I have had, they were able to accommodate. If you want find a place to get a great haircut and have great conversations this is your place. Not to mention the price points are very reasonable and I’ve never been rushed while in the chair.read more

I’ve been a customer here over 2 years now, and I just wanted to thank these guys for their work. Been going here since the golden days when they were located on the other side of Delco plaza. Had incredible barbers ranging from Sammy to Max. Hands down the best Barbershop in Long Island. They’re service is A class. I have been to all of the barber individually and they’re all professional!
