He gives great advice if you’re not sure on what you want but also cuts exactly how you want it done if you already know what you want. The shop itself is very clean and spacious. Simply put, best haircut I’ve ever gotten. Luis was awesome. I’ve spent years saving a few dollars going to the big chain places and it’s like spinning a roulette wheel as to how your hair will turn out. I recieved my haircut by Joe before I left for my wedding and it was cut to perfection. Joe has great personality and good feedback on how my hair should be styled. At other shops they always fade it to high but he gave me a true medium fade. They use top of the line good quality products that made my hair feel great. Went to Made Man Barber Shop for the first time tonight, and to say I was impressed is an understatement. Great location, well appointed shop and the staff was totally pleasant and professional. My appointment was with Sal and received the best haircut I've gotten in over 20 years. Sal was a complete technician/artist/perfectionist, very detailed, very friendly and 100% sure of every cut of his clippers and snip of his scissors...perfect precision. With little hesitation, Sal looked at my hair, made some recommendations which I agreed with them all and got the best hair cut that can be had. If you haven't been there, get there! I used to drive 40 minutes into Manhattan to get a decent haircut until I started going to Made Man! The shop décor is fly and is extremely clean. The barbers are friendly and the prices are fair for the services they offer. The shop overall is full of professionals who are up to date with the latest trends and training.If you can snag an appointment I would recommend getting a cut by Bryan. I happened to stumble in this place one afternoon far from home in Queens, NY. I explained my concern to the receptionist that I wanted to make sure I was paired with someone good as I was the picky type and they did not fail to deliver. Melvin was a really cool dude, knew what he was doing and I definitely came out of there with a nice fresh professional cut. Shame this place isn't close to home but for those wondering - Melvin is definitely that dude! If I'm ever back in the area I'm always going to keep this place and Melvin in mind. Been going to The Made Man Barbershop for about a year now. Incredible looking barbershop. Everyone is very friendly and professional. Honestly, Hands down the best hair cut I have ever gotten. Alex did a really great job and we even talked about baseball a bit. This is an updated version of an old fashioned barbershop. A place for men to go to which looks like a masculine version of a salon marble counters great modern barber chairs etc. For a very reasonable price you can be pampered with a great haircut or if you are like me have your beard shaped which includes hot towels to your face afterwards that smell just great. I started going to Made man in 2018, I was blown away with the level of attention to detail Sal took with the cut and beard. Fast forward, couldn’t get Sal on date/time I wanted so I scheduled with Joey, very much liked his approach too. Due to scheduling I went back to Sal but it was quite clear he was upset I had switched barber. After this, I noticed Sal cut in whatever fashion he wanted, not really listening to what I wanted, even though I showed and asked for a cut he did earlier (multiple appointments). I had stopped going there after the last bad experience.I had reached out to Franco @ Made Man to explain my experience – I didn’t receive any communication back. Found this odd as the shop does reach out after a cut to ask how things went.Worth it? Yea – if you’ve got a barber that listens to you and continues to give that same level of attention each time.Just writing this review now, because I noticed Sal is no longer at Made Man and did not want to jeopardize his position.Other notes -Appointments – they generally start on time, might have to wait couple minutes, they do give attention to all clients.Parking – side street, residentialMake your appointment online, they are always busy.read more

Right off the bat I love the decor and aesthetic of the whole place. The soundtrack they play is awesome and they have sports or something interesting on the TVs as well. The place is brightly lit. Have been there twice and have been very happy with the service. My first time was zero wait time my second time had a bit of a wait but the staff were very apologetic and acknowledged that my wait time was abnormal. I was Nelvins last appt and usually barbers rush the cut to get out quick, but not him. He took his time and was super friendly throughout the experience. Not many shops have barbers who know how to PROPERLY cut long hair. All of the ones ive gone to in the past only know how to chop your hair badly with a pair of scissors. I had an appointment with Luis and I can’t even begin to express how happy I am with my haircut. My girlfriend calls me “Prince Charming” now. These guys listen to everything you have to say and cut to their best ability. Watching Luis cut my hair and the way he measured my hair to the last strand as he cut proved to me that he is a master of his craft, along with the rest of the professionals there. I’ve been coming here for years and have never left disappointed! The staff is friendly, professional, and most importantly, skilled at what they do. Although I normally get a clipper cut from Luis, I’ve tried nearly all of the barbers over the years and the end result is always great. Update: Despite my bad experience the manager reached out to me and said quality of their service was a high priority and that they wanted to remedy it. Thank you I'll be going back within the future.It was the most painful experience of my life and I payed 35 for this. I let them know that I have not had a cut in over 18 months and my hair is curly, in the booking memo of the website. He could have wet my hair to make it move but he ripped and pulled at my scalp, dry. I thought I was in good hands that I'd be getting a salon experience. I am from out of town and visiting family. I decided today that I was going to get a haircut and a shave. Checked out Google Maps and found Made Man. I booked my appointment online and headed out.I walked in and immediately you notice how clean this place is. The staff is 1, very professional and welcoming. I felt like I had been coming here for years. 2, they may be the funniest group of guy's you will meet. The open air banter back and forth can be brutal and the conversation topics change fast as lightning. Pay attention if you want to stay in the talk.Nelvin was my guy. As nice as could be and got me started immediately. Talked about what I wanted for a bit and then he started. 40 minutes later I had the exact haircut that I wanted and the shave was almost about to put me to sleep. I cant say enough about what a great job he did.Definitely make an appointment. They're busy. Made Man offers the upscale hot towel/straight razor type of Barbershop service, and pricing is very fair. Clean space and staff all do a good job of building rapport w/ clients. I highly recommend Glen Blamer! He’s a true professional and has become a trusted consultant to me. He won me over by being able to correct bad work from other shops, and always being meticulous at every stage of the cut. He’s a master of his craft!read more

I finally decided to go to an upscale barber shop and experience if the hype is worth the money. The shop was modern, clean and well lit giving it a nice vibe. The four barbers were probably in their late 20's-30's. Prices are listed on the wall but, visit their website for a full listing of services and prices. You will need to make an appointment online and give a credit card to secure the appointment. Payment is charged at the shop when services are completed. By the way, if you need to cancel you have to do online and no later then six hours before your appointment. If you fail you will be charged the full amount. My barber was professional and friendly. We did talk about my haircut and what style was good for me. He spent enough time and he did give me what I elected to go with. Prices are competitive with similar barber shops. Hours are customer friendly and plenty of two hour parking on the street. This is a place you need to try. There is senior and youth prices for these patrons. Give this place a try.read more

Roman was a gentleman. Respectful and polite. He genuinely greeted me with a smile when I walk in the door and that alone was enough to generosity tip him. A proper welcome. Roman is a skillful artist and it shown when I gave him his artistic freedom to cut my hair which came out great. Nice even symmetrical fade. He pays attention to detail. I just moved back to the United States and I’m accustomed to the absolute best of salons with very talented stylists. I was initially skeptical because I’m used to precision cuts with a very particular style. My barber - Roman alleviated all of the fears. He did a phenomenal job. The little things such as sanitizing the scissors and combs after each use matter a lot to me, being a cleanliness and hygiene freak. Some people have said that this place is expensive but the experience was worth every penny and I would gladly pay more. Will be a regular at this place from now onwards. This place was such an amazing experience! The customer experience was A+ and Glen gave me a phenomenal haircut. His consultation was spot on and the atmosphere in the barber shop was friendly and clean! The owner was working the front and welcomed everyone as if we were all friends! I first went to this place in February and I LOVED the service and the job they did on my beard, so when I needed a professional trim again I booked another appointment. This time I booked a “royal shave”. I loved the trim job they did on my beard but the site indicated “roya shave” includes exfoliation and warm towel, cool towel and bunch of other things, I experienced NONE of those things. I paid $45 for a beard trim. Didn’t even get a warm towel after the shave. If I just wanted a regular trim I think I could’ve stayed closer to my house instead of driving all the way to Woodbridge. This is why I am giving them a 3 star.read more

I’ve been looking for a good barber with skilled with the scissors. My last cut at another spot was a disaster. Roman exceeded my expectations. He asked questions to ensure he understood what I wanted. He took his time and was very professional. I really appreciated that he blow dried my hair to remove the hair he cut. He did a great job removing the hair altogether. I was surprised that he was able to fix my mess. Roman will be my go to barber moving forward.2 things I was concerned about were not being greeted by anyone when I arrived and the $45 cut is supposed to come with Eucalyptus add on.I’d pass on this feature, but I would’ve appreciated being asked. This barbershop has a professional looking setup that differs from nearly every shop I’ve ever visited.I feel, as a biz owner myself, handling the concerns I mentioned earlier would only benefit them.Overall, I’m elated I found a solid barber.
