Description
The Clip Joint in Merchantville, NJ has been a neighborhood barber shop for many years, and a relaxed environment for a haircut. They specialize bald faces, flat tops, and scissor cuts for men and kids. But they also do women's cuts. The previous owner, Al Segrest started cutting hair in 1968 at the age of 19. He passed away in 2016 and now all 6 of his kids own and run the business, continuing Al's craft.

A very cozy and clean family run shop! My barber Theresa is not located there and she always keeps my hair fresh and tight! Easy to find shop with great prices! Parking next to the building is very nice and spacious as well! Men and women both can come to this shop for a nice cut.read more

I have been getting my hair cut by Alexis for years, and of course the Clip Joint is an institution in Merchantville. With the addition of booking online as an option, it couldn't be better.The atmosphere is cool and funky, everyone is friendly and cuts hair well. My son has very thick, very curly hair and it's never looked better than since we started having it cut here.read more

I just relocated to the area and stopped in for a badly needed haircut. Everything from the moment I walked in was awesome. The haircut was well done and it's obvious that Monica and Alexis are fixtures of the community. They knew most customers by name and exchanged pleasant conversation that made me feel right at home. I just moved from Denver and really appreciated the small community feel of the shop. I feel like I have found my new barber and will be going back.read more

The Clip Joint has been a staple in my life for the last 4 years. Since I moved away from my old barber shop I looked for a place I could go to and trust that I’d receive solid service. My son and I both got haircuts today and could not be happier with the cuts. Only downside is that there was one stylist not wearing a mask…I realize the mask is an unnecessarily controversial issue but we picked this shop because they advertised that masks are required for customers and stylists. We took a chance since it was only one person not wearing a mask and we will definitely be going back mainly because of the service and quality of the cuts. I did not want to affect the rating specially since we went ahead with the haircuts but hopefully the mask rule is better enforced in the future or they remove that from the Health and Safety section in Google maps.read more

The Clip Joint is the best place to get your haircut or hair done. AVOID MAUREEN!Very affordable and friendly people, but if you want a decent haircut you need to avoid Maureen. She tries her best but in the end she does too much and absolutely messes up your haircut. She’s messed me up 2 times and I know a few people who say she’s messed them up too. Nothing against the business at all! Clip Joint is a very loved business here, Maureen us just a bit of an issue.read more
