This is the absolute best barber shop that I have ever used. For years I was cheap and had my wife just buzz cut my hair when it needed cut. When I went to Sal's barbershop the professionalism, friendliness, and excellent work made me want to go back. I now only go to Sal's for my barbershop. I am sad to be moving to Ohio soon. Clean lines, nice cuts. Long wait. Long time in chair. Adult themed discussions, language and posters makes it somewhat inappropriate to bring kids here. Adults are welcome to beer or coffee and there are snacks galore on a table and juice boxes for kids in fridge, along with soda. The wait may be long but they do their best to make it enjoyable and (due to the attention to your cut) worth it in the end.read more

I've been going to Sal for my haircuts for about 10 years now. Now that he has his own shop, the quality is even better. He's hired a great staff of barbers, the vibe is perfect and the haircuts are great. The team is also good with facial hair (something a lot of other barbers seem to be pretty bad at). Finding a good barber is not easy these days. I saw the great reviews online and ended up having my first cut with Stan. I will admit, I'm always nervous going into a new shop, but the team there was very friendly. My hair is a little difficult to cut and my haircut came out AMAZING; better than what I had with my other barbers. Stan was very patient listening to what I wanted with my haircut, took his time and was extremely meticulous and provided great customer service. Sal’s barber shop is just that. A real legit barber shop. All of his barbers are personally hand picked by the best in the business.....Sal himself. It took me awhile to finally get my son to Sal’s for a haircut. I’ve heard great things about them for years.It can be a wait but generally well worth it, they take good care of you & the barbers are very skilled.It’s like every other salon or shop you just have to figure out the times that work for you. I do favor walk in but now that I know Sal takes appointments, my son is in and out in 20-30 minutes. If his cut was more complicated I know they would take the time to get it right.I’m very happy with the service and wonder why I waited years to bring my son there.read more

We have been working for a very long time to get to the point where he was willing to go to the barbershop. From the second we entered Sal's we were treated with the utmost respect. Sal introduced himself to us, not to mention offered drinks and snacks, etc.. Jay was my clients barber and he was amazing. He made my client feel respected and heard. He also did an amazing job. I wish confidentiality didn't prevent me from showing before & after pics, because WOW. You'll just have to take my word for it that this gentleman is a whole new man!! Sal's is a truly great place to go and get a haircut. The shop itself is decorated in Philly sports photos and there is always snacks and drinks while you wait. Everyone that works here is clean, friendly and it is a very welcoming barber shop. Their female barber Hannah (whom they call Han[d]z) is exquisite ! First time at Sals PM. Been with same barber for years till I moved here from New Jersey. Booked With Joe G. He was polite and accommodating while I waited for him to finish up. Sal always provides beyond excellent service for my husband & my kids. One of my sons had his first haircut at 11 months old and was made comfortable the entire time. Kids are especially hard to cut, but Sal laughed and played with him the entire cut to make sure he wasn’t a scared, and stayed still comfortably for a perfect haircut. Came here about 6 months ago on a whim because I work nearby and needed a cut and have been coming back all the way from Philly ever since. Their fades and cuts are top notch. The shop is really nice and clean. They’re up to date with newer tech such as automatic appointment reminder texts and virtual booking all while keeping the old school true barbershop vibe. I always go to Trevor and he’s spectacular and as sharp as it gets. I walk out every time feeling like he just gave me the perfect cut just how I wanted it. I’ve even been getting a ton of compliments on my fades from friends coworkers and even strangers. Every barber in there seems to drop 10/10 cuts from what I’ve seen. Great barbershop! I’ve been coming to Sal’s in Plymouth meeting for years now and always book with Joe. From what I’ve seen all the barbers in this shop are very high quality and I wouldn’t mind being cut by any of them. Great cuts, a bit pricey but appointments are hit or miss. Twice now we've had to wait more than thirty minutes past our scheduled appointment time to get seated. That's very disrespectful of our time. I booked with Sal’s for the first time this week (March 2024). I had recently moved and went through a few barbers already. So, I was a little hesitant due to not locking down anyone thus far. However, my first visit to Sal’s Barbershop was excellent! Both in service and experience at this location. Joe was very welcoming, he asked questions and listened to my thoughts and concerns. He was very personable. And you can tell he loves doing what he’s doing. He took his time and paid attention to the details of a cleancut.
