The first time I went I was a walk-in. I actually got seated right away with no issues. I got a great cut. I was impressed, so I made an appointment to come back next time I needed a cut. That first experience is the only reason I’d give 3/5 and not something less. I showed up for my next appointment and the barber had forgotten I was even coming in. So he rushed through my cut, though it still turned out okay. Just not as good as the first time when he took his time with it. The last time I returned, the same barber was out for the day and hadn’t contacted me to tell me, so I spent a total of 2.5 hours waiting as other barbers appointments were taken care of, waiting for a walk-in time slot to open. All in all, they give decent cuts but even with an appointment you might still be wasting your time.read more

Been to Ruiz's 5+ times and to be honest their haircuts are top notch. All the barbers there are talented, and leave you looking great. I will say there's a lack of customer service, and never honor an appointment unless you're personal friends with them. Spent 3 hours there in total time between waiting and the haircut every time. I saw online that they recommend making an appointment. I wanted a haircut in the same day so I called just after they opened and asked if they had any room to make an appointment today. They made one for me at 11 and I walked in, sat down, got a haircut, and walked out half an hour later feeling amazing! Very professional! Great service!read more

Only place in town where my cut is always as expected, I have a high standard and Ruiz always exceeds my expectations. Staff is friendly and everyone knows how to have fun while being professional. Very clean. Prices are more expensive than the chain shops, famous hair, supercuts, i.e, but not by much and they do 100x better than those other places and they really take their time so it's a few bucks more well spent. I love it here and bring myself and children every month.read more

Great place to get your man stuff done. Just not down their! They are all experienced in there trait I have a fade done with a part. They do shaves,eyebrows,beards like I said they do it all. Jeziel did a phenomenal job cutting my hair and giving me the first str8 edge razor shave I've ever had! I walked out of Ruiz Barbershop looking and feeling like a new man. Their price was reasonable given the fact that I had multiple services performed. He deserved a 20% tip and it was an honor sitting in his chair. I found my experience quite relaxing, as there are multiple TVs to watch and the chairs are very comfy. Striking up a casual conversation with your barber is welcome here as well. Paying in cash is not the only accepted method (as mentioned in a previous review). I paid using my Visa debit card - Ruiz Barbershop has a card reader for both credit and debit card payments. Just note that there is a $1.00 service charge for using the credit/debit payment service. It would've cost me more to make an ATM cash withdrawal (at least $2.50). I noticed all of the customer interactions with the entire staff were positive and upbeat. Not one negative event occurred during my entire stay - and I was there for a hot minute with a large customer flow. I will definitely be returning to Ruiz Barbershop in the future. My son needed his hair cut for homecoming and a couple of his friends recommended the place. We walked in without an appointment and they fit him in. If you don't want to take the chance or wait, make an appointment. It was in the afternoon and it was busy, all the chairs were filled and 90% of the waiting chairs were occupied. There were kids getting cuts and men getting their beards groomed. Everyone was friendly and professional. My son got a great cut!read more

I went 12-6-23 got a bald fade that 95% of shops can’t seem to do on my head. Most say that the tattoo throws them off or just don’t say anything and think it’s ok. I honestly can’t remember the guys name (young redheads boy) but he didn’t leave a line and had the respect to ask multiple times does it look good and fix what I wanted. When someone says, “This is good” why continue to question how the style is to be, without looking the client in the eye to confirm? When someone asks for a trim, this does not mean layers!
