Just had my first cut with David. Outstanding. Told him what I generally like and wanted a bit of a change. He wasted no time, which I appreciate since it was lunch time in Midtown, and yet was very precise. Took his time with my beard and stache. Hot towel was great. The best barbershop I have been to I have really thick curly hair. I get it chemically relaxed here and it's so much easier to style and it is a huge time saver. I highly recommend this place to everyone and the barber Adam is the best you cant go wrong with him, but everyone there is still great as well.read more

Would definitely recommend this place, ask for Carlos. I’ve tried several places around both Brooklyn and Manhattan and I would have to say Carlos is by far the best at men’s fade haircuts. He listens to what you want and cuts your hair accordingly.read more

I recently got my hair cut by carlos and was very impressed. He will nail whatever style you ask him to do which in my case was a high skin fade. Will definitely be a regular customer for future cuts.

I've been coming to Made Man barber shop for a few years now and it has finally made its way uptown. This location is very cozy, located between broadway and 6th Ave. Adam is my favorite barber in the city, (he also cuts and colors women's hair) but their entire staff is great overall. Cut, shave, wash whatever you need they will provide. They've got great old school decor with talented barbers. All cuts end with a eucalyptus oil scented hot towel at the end. Very nice location and highly recommended.read more

Been rocking with the company for a year now, even through Corona. I must say, best shop in NYC, no hyperbole!!! They communicate, listen, and deliver! When I first started I was on my journey to find my ideal haircut, I did not anything about a 2, 3, the different blades, the different fades etc. Nada!!! Thankfully the barbers at Made Man are patient. They communicated with me and taught and showed me what I wanted. Coming from the shops I use to go to, the haircuts and experience at Made Man are spectacular. Just has my first haircut in months at this location. My old place closed down due to the pandemic, and I was apprehensive about finding another place to cut my hair, but tried this place based off of a friend’s recommendation. So glad that I did. I had my hair cut by Jordan, who was very friendly, professional, and patient as I explained what I wanted and showed him pictures of my hair when it was short. The haircut Jordan gave me is AWESOME and looks even better than what I had been getting at my previous barber for 4 years. Not only that, but the prices were significantly cheaper as well. Wakes in and waited just a short time as I had no reservation made. Abdul sat me down and asked what we are doing and I told him a low fade to skin.This is hands down the best fade I have ever had. This place is and has always been an incredible experience mostly because of Jordan. I've been going to him for about 1.5 years now and I have not had a single bad experience. I am usually very picky with my haircut and used to always end up dissatisfied until I ended up at Made Man. Jordan is awesome and leaves me feeling brand new by the end of the haircut. Awesome old school barbershop, but stops short of being kitchy or manufactured. I have tricky hair, and years ago when I first sat in Evelyn's chair, I told her what problems I have with it. She came up with a solution, and my hair has never looked better. My wife is a stylist and even she said it was a better cut than she ever gave me. There isn't a noisy TV or radio. And after not being able to go for a year and a half during covid, Evelyn still knew who I was and we had a great time catching up. Also, the website is a great way to book an appointment.read more

I've been trying to find a good barbershop in New York for over 5 years and finally found it at Made Man. I've been coming here for over 2 years and get my haircuts with Ely. He is absolutely the best -- he is incredibly nice and genuinely interested in you as a person. He is also an amazing barber, especially fades. He goes above and beyond to make sure you have a great haircut and experience, and has incredible attention to detail to make sure the haircut is 100% perfect. Been coming here for the last year and doubt I'll go anywhere else. Place is clean and the cuts are sharp. I usually just walk in because I'm not picky and I'm terrible at planning ahead.I've tried about 5 different barbers here as people rotate around. I usually do a medium to high skin fade and haven't been disappointed a single time. Everybody does a great job, goes the extra mile, and leaves you feeling like a new person. Great solid haircut. I generally like a simple cut, but these guys are stylish too. A little of that modern flair got in there and my partner said my hair has never looked better. Michael did a great job. He asked me what I wanted, but because I usually just say..."shorten it up", he had great suggestions for someone with annoying wavy hair who wants to skip the fancy hair products, but really has no idea what they want. ...I'll be back.read more
