Colonial Park Barbers in has been around for over 70 years, making it the oldest barber shop in Harrisburg. It’s a place for people that want a good haircut without the extra frills. They specialize in children's and men's haircuts, but everyone is welcome. Professional and friendly group of barbers. Cash only, but there is an ATM in the mall if you forget. Also, parking is never an issue.

I've been going here for 20+ years. Good group of folks. It's like walking into Cheers. They all know you. They like to razz each other. Cory (spelling?) always knows what I need. Good stuff!

Great people, even the other customers waiting with me where great. They have no issue making a high fade. Only down side is cash only. Have at least a 20 with you!

Went there forever, went a few other places, now I am back again as a regular. As the owner says: "They always come back". All the barbers I have had there did a good job. Reasonable prices. I love to listen in on the banter between the barbers - lots of good commaradary. My ritual also involves going into the mall afterwards and getting a cup of Joe from the coffee kiosk. No appointments necessary, but don't go within 15 min of closing time, they often turn the sign around if they have a que that they feel will take them significantly past closing.read more

I came in late on a Thursday morning and there is one lady is cutting hair and she's slow as molasses. The guy in front of me looked like he wanted to bang his head into a wall from how long he had been waiting. After 20 minutes of listening to this girl yammer on about how 6 people work there and it's usually not this busy, blah blah blah. I had to get up and I had a job of my own to get to and didn't have the hour plus to wait on my haircut. My advice go in the afternoon when the owner is in.read more

This place is phenomenal. It was recommended to me by a co-worker and I have yet to be disappointed which is not an experience I'm used to. A laid back atmosphere and they all do great work. Cameron whipped my hair into shape and like he said I gave two weeks before deciding whether it was a good haircut or not and it definitely stood the test of time. The taller woman, who cut my hair, used her razor as if she were an artist with a soft paintbrush. I never felt any metal touch my skin and I didn't even have to adjust my head. It was the best haircut I had ever gotten from someone you would think belongs the an expensive hair salon!read more

I love them not sure what the ladys name is who cuts my son and husbands hair but she does a CONSISTENT job every time and it always looks great.. She has blonde hair thats all i know, I give her two thumbs up!read more

Great Barbers on duty! My personal experience.. I have always got the haircut I've asked for & walked away as a happy customer! There's always a great conversation going on! A buddy recommended Colonial Park since 19 out of 20 haircuts I've received elsewhere recently look like a 4 yr old did it in a dark room with a butter knife. As per the comments on here there was a waiting line, but there were 3 barbers working so I didn't wait a terribly long time. A beautiful lady named ANGEL called me to her chair who I immediately proceeded to drive crazy with my anxiety of living under a hat until my hair grew back out. She was very professional and restrained herself from choking me into unconsciousness as she reassured me that wasn't going to happen, over and over and over. Two days later I still don't look like a cockatoo. Thank you Angel it's one of the best cuts I've ever had.read more

Professional and well-rounded staff able to cut any hair. They do not take appointments which made me nervous first since my first barber did a great job. However, the staff is well-rounded, and I have been pleased every time I have gotten a haircut there, despite having different barbers. Finally, I have Latino hair, and they were able to accommodate me.read more

Excellent haircuts at reasonable prices, but be prepared to wait if the place is busy. 15 to 25 minutes per haircut is not unusual. It is worth it. All of the barbers are professionals. If you can describe what style you want, they can make it happen. The large flat screen television in the shop is usually set to the ESPN channel, so conversations about sports is somewhat of a given.read more
