Chops is great. Cool shop, awesome haircut, friendly people - what more do you want?! Be wary of low ratings, seems like it's mostly just people who are mad that it's appointment only (seriously?!). I recently moved from out of town so had to wait maybe four months until they had space open up, but way worth it - best cuts I can remember!read more

Love Chops Barbershop. They are great poeple and he listens to what you want. They are appointment only so don't try and walk in. He uses the razor and electric cutters. Beautiful place inside clean and they have great homemade beard stuff as well. Just a great freindly place to get your head or beard trimmed.read more

Excellent barber with a hip shop. His partner makes great hair product and will bend over backwards to schedule you. There is always great music playing and great conversation to be had. I hope it is obvious that people who complain about his appointment only policy have an axe to grind. This is a high quality single seat barber shop and as such he has no option but to do appointments. I have had a standing appointment for 4 years now and have not had a single problem, even when I have had to reschedule.read more

Chops has been cutting my boyfriend's hair for years; and does an amazing job at it. He's the only person that Mike trusts to cut his hair. They've always been incredibly nice to myself and my family whenever we happen to be in the shop. I would highly recommend them to anyone. I've been coming here for about 3 years now, and I always look and feel so much cleaner walking out of here now than I did before when I went anywhere else! I've never had a more professional cut. Both Ashley and Chops are pretty awesome too. I've ever been anywhere else with such a chill atmosphere, all the while having the refrigerator stocked with beer and water!My daughter is very pleased with the cut she got from Chops today too. He was able to correct all of the mistakes (by people who shouldn't be cutting hair anyways) done inside a shopping mall. Beautiful and clean shop. I was a couple minutes late to my appointment and despite the many requests on the website to be punctual he was very polite. I have difficult hair to work with, and he sculpted my hair perfectly and without any hesitation. I wouldn't recommend anyone else to cut your hair. By appointment only so check out the website to find out how to schedule one or be added to the waiting list. As long as I live in Harrisburg I won't be going anywhere else. -Also they have plenty of mens hair products that I plan to check out when I'm all out of mine.read more

Absolutely love getting my hair cut and beard trimmed by Chop. I can tell he takes a lot of pride in what he does. I’ll be coming back as long as he will have me. An awesome positive vibe through out. Positive conversation with the barbers about lots of things including following a righteous path and closer to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I've only been to this shop once but I enjoyed the experience. Haircut was A-1. Conversation was A-1. Profanity free environment. Can't ask for much more.read more

Great barbershop; I've been going here for years. Very relaxed atmosphere with an old school vibe. Specializes in men's cuts, and has the standards down well. New customers have to pay attention when booking. You have to follow directions on his website and he doesn't do walk-ins. I've witnessed a few complaints about how particular he is with regard to this, but he is a one man operation and the time he spends on administrative items, like a new customer not able to follow his directions, is less time taking care of his customers.He has lots of classic grooming supplies and also makes some custom one's as well. I love his products and use them almost exclusively.TLDR: follow his instructions. Be on time. You'll get a great haircut and a fantastic experience. After a few years, he is not just my barber, but a friend. This is after I goofed up his instructions a few times. Love this place. I'm certain you will too.read more
