Recently moved to the area from out of State just before Christmas. Checked Google reviews of nearby salons, contacted several and Boardroom Hairstylists owner, Donna, was the only one who promptly called back and set up an appointment within a few days. Donna took the time to understand my needs. The stylist she recommended at her shop, Michelle, did a terrific job. The quality of the cut was outstanding and the price was very reasonable. I first visited Boardroom Hair Stylists because I wanted to try going brunette as a natural blonde. They made me feel so special and excited about the process and how great my hair would look, and really took the time to explain the entire process and approach it meticulously. I practically messed my hair up by trying to do it at home. I was frantic until I called Boardroom Hairstylists and spoke to the owner. She immediately set me up for a consultation examined my hair and told me not to panic. I needed a color correction because I used box color on myself and was told it would take a few sessions so as not to damage my hair. Went in for my appointment with Jordan and was amazed as she explained Step by step process she was applying. To make a long story short after my second session added highlights a few glasses of Chardonnay, looked and felt amazing. Yes, it was a little expensive but I brought that on myself. I was assured if I kept regular appointments for minor touch ups it would keep my hair healthier and cost would be less. They saved my hair and I found my new hair and beauty salon.read more

I know many reviewers have said it before, but I'm going to say it again: Katie is amazing. It's hard to find hairstylists that are good at cutting medium-thick hair, and I've ended up with a shag haircut after asking for a blunt bob too many times to count. Katie did a dry cut (which is my preference anyways, and it's nice that they specialize in them here) blunt bob and I am super happy with it. She was very communicative during the haircut and really made sure I was happy & on board every step of the way. I am so happy I actually found a place I want to keep coming back to! Everything from the scheduling to when I got In my car and had that first real glance in my rear view mirror (you all know what I’m talking about) I was so pleased! Donna was great with responding to texts, scheduling and listening. Her and Ally picked out the perfect color and voiced expert opinions that I am grateful they gave and gladly took their advice. Ally was an awesome stylist, had great conversation, she taught me how to style my hair and use a curling iron the proper way 😆 My hair has seriously never looked this good! 110% satisfied and will be back for my touch up. I saw Kaundra. She was absolutely wonderful. She was very concerned about making sure she gave me exactly what I wanted, both in cut and color. It came out looking great! She was also super nice and personable, easy to talk to.I think if my hair was not thick, the cut and single color/root touch-up would have been less. But my hair requires 2 or maybe 3 bowls of color, so with tip it was $190. Not the most expensive I've been to, but too much to be sustainable for me.The salon itself is very nice. It has a nice decor and vibe, very open and modern.read more

Now THAT was one amazing haircut! The owner Donna Toland met me as I walked in, offered me a free beer or wine, then a very good looking stylist named Crystal, with 25+ years of international hair styling expertise (including Paris, France) gave me a very good haircut, following by a complimentary shampoo (including an excellent scalp massage). All the while she was explaining what she was doing and how it was going to help my haircut last a month vs. a couple of weeks, thus saving me money! Also, an assistant there texting me instructions on how to keep and grow thinning hair back naturally, without chemicals or expensive products. The physical atmosphere was also very cool, silver motif and fancy plush chairs by the shampoo area, without being pretentious. Very good energy place, and an extremely friendly, family owned business since 1994. Did I mention free covered parking and excellent prices? BTW, I've never written a review for a haircut in my life, so take that into consideration.read more

OMG this is the first time I have ever gotten a facial. Haylee gave me and eyelash lift and tint along with the amazing signature facial the environment was so calm and peaceful 10/10! I have had 5 color sessions to dye my hair red since January and this is the FIRST time I got exactly what I wanted and left completely satisfied. Sami did SUCH an amazing job, and should get even more commendation because I have a *lot* of hair - I wouldn't be happy, but I could not have blamed her if she had half-a**ed it towards the end. It's so much hair. Instead she did a phenomenal job all 3 hrs I was there, and I am the happiest I've been with my hair color.I will say it did cost more than I was expecting, but: I'm new to coloring my hair and so I'm unfamiliar with standard costs, I had full highlights + toner + a cut and probably a few other things I'm forgetting. No matter what it is well worth it and it's better to pay for someone who knows what they're doing rather than get a cheap job and look...well, cheap. I've only been once so far but I do feel confident in saying if you go here that will NOT happen.Sami clearly cares about the health of your hair above all, and Donna wants to make sure you're going to leave with what you want, which is good because if she hadn't explicitly said that I might have left unhappy with a darker root again simply because I didn't want to make a fuss, and I was also super tired and not explaining myself well. Sami is also NOT scissor happy, so if you say "just a trim" you'll get just a trim unlike some places that take off 3 inches 🙃This is the first salon I tried since moving here and I'll keep coming back as long as I'm welcome! I was super nervous given previous, disappointing experiences I had with a different salon for color as well as having to get a new stylist after having the same person cut my hair since I was 16, but there is absolutely nothing to be nervous about here. They'll take care of you.Edit: I forgot to add that I haven't had this color 24 hours yet and I've already had 3 people tell me they like/love it 😊read more

I wanted to treat my wife for mother's day and decided to get her a day at a salon. I started searching Google for the best salons in Atlanta and ran across Boardroom Hairstylists. After reading dozens of reviews, all excellent, we decided to book her appointment with Katie. We were driving from Cartersville so I decided to tag along and drop her off. From the moment she arrived she was treated like family. Donna welcomed her in and Katie was better than anyone could have imagined. The attention to detail and care they took to be sure they got to know her and find a style that suited her perfectly is unparalleled anywhere else. I cannot say enough good things. They have earned a customer for life. Heck, I got back to pick her up a bit early and sat there talking to everyone like we had known each other for years. Anyone looking for a hair dresser Boardroom Hairdresser is the place. I am from Mississippi, visiting my friends in Atlanta and I was calling every salon to get me in for keratin’s treatment and no one could give me a spot. But, Ms Donna is the sweetest lady who owns this salon and she accommodated me and made me so much comfortable in this big city that she made sure my needs are perfectly met and I leave the place with a happy face and satisfaction . Ms. Sami did my keratin’s treatments and she was the best human being and the best hairdresser I met. She did such a wonderful job with lot of patience. Ally and Donna I can not thank you enough for your hospitality and what you guys have done for me over the past week. More than just having to do with hair.The first night I came I was having such a rough day I wanted to cancel my appointment, I had a nudge to go anyway. I was immediately met with the best energy, a safe space, two goofy, beautiful, genuinely kind women that didn’t know how bad I needed that interaction with them. This night I had this great plan to put dark onto my roots and I was warned that I probably wouldn’t like it based on my needs and what I usually love (the fantasy colors).I did it anyway. I was so sad because I felt I had just ruined the beautiful orange and yellow Ally put on with a dark root. Within minutes Donna is messaging me back reassuring me they will come up with a plan for me and it will all be ok.THE NEXT DAY, I am called with 5 different root colors to choose from and a plan. Boy, did Ally deliver. It is so hard to find an ARTIST than can see the vision you have for your hair (especially a natural dark haired girl who just put dark on it again😭) and just do it but you can tell Ally does this with her soul.I am so happy I listened to the nudge to come in. I finally found my hair wizard and left with some friends. These queens literally adjusted my crown. I can’t wait for our next project and I can’t wait to get up there and laugh with her and Donna both.Even just the little details of the decorations do not go unnoticed.10/10 I can’t stress enough.read more

They do amazing work here! All we did was shape up and cut off about 6 inches but it looks like she cut and colored it. Everyone back home LOVED my hair just as much as I do. Ally is simply incredible on every level. I walked in with a disaster on my head. It was a dull black, blue maybe, even some gross green and some red under that. So many split ends and layer after layer of cheap box dye. What a mess. Ally was able to use some impressive chemistry and so much patience to fix everything and make me look normal again.
