JANUARY 2019 UPDATE: Maynard’s shop is closed indefinitely due to illness. My regular barbershop. Maynard is a lifetime Bethlehem resident and has great stories. Usually a painting on display by a local artist an well. Thursdays are appointment-only days.read more

I took my 3 year old son here. The barber was very patient with him and gave him a wonderful cut even with the most wiggly customer. We will be back!

By far the best haircut I've ever received. Not only does the haircut look great but Jim also helped guide me on what I could do with my hair in the future due to my numerous cowlicks. I've always received "just okay" haircuts without really knowing why and just being educated on my cowlicks and getting someone's opinion on what may look good in the future was awesome. I have been going to franchise locations for a long time. I decided it was time to find a local business. I was not disappointed.His shop is nice and quaint. I like the decor. He spent some money on modern upgrades, but also has some cool old school stuff, like the chair, and some nice artwork of jazz/blues musicians.Parking is convenient. You can land a spot on the side roads or on Linden right out front. The place is also clean.Jim was friendly, easy to talk to and relatable. It was a nice laid back experience on a near-perfect spring day.The cut was the best I've had. Franchises tend to get you in and out as fast as possible. He, on the other hand, took his time to make sure the cut was even all around, much more than I've seen at prior shops. I appreciated that.I won't be going anywhere else. I'm happy I found this spot!read more

Excellent! I finally found my barber shop. My wife has told me repeatedly it's the best haircut I've gotten in years.I'm an older man with a beard that I am proud of and thin on top. Jim listened to what I thought I wanted and made excellent suggestions. He is engaging, professional and skilled. The place doesn't look like much on the outside, but has a great vibe on the inside. VERY CLEAN.Since moving here 3 years ago, I've been to 6 barbers. I got three average at best haircuts, met a couple of racists who felt that because I was white, I wanted to listen to their BS and finally went to one of the high-end places where the barbers were more interested in chatting with each other than engaging.Like I said, I found my barber shop.read more

Been around the block on barbers and stylists for over 55 years, - Skelly and Jim are as good as you can get anywhere.Great people and atmosphere. Parking is on the street or around the corner (close though). Book in advance us recommended.read more

We came across this place after my son ( who's 14 and very picky) had a few bad experiences with haircuts and how they turned out. We've been here 2 times now, Jim does a great job.
