Description
Anthony's Barbers is a full-service, traditional barber shop that has been in business since 1888, and in the same location at 914 Penn Avenue in Wyomissing since 1959. They serve serve men, women and children, and are skilled in many areas of hair cutting, from flattops and fades to longer style cuts. Shoe shines and traditional hot lather face shaves are offered as well. They have a minimum of 6 barbers on staff, so walk-ins are no problem.

Best barbershop east of the Mississippi. Only reason they lose a star with me is the shoeshine guy told me he couldn't shine my shoes because of the way they were made. Thing is, I have shined them myself plenty of times, and I'm not a professional. It kind of made me feel like he just didn't feel like doing it. Like, seriously, I think we both know he totally could have shined them. He was just busy talking to someone and reading a magazine. It was a bit of a let down... But don't let that take away from the quality service you get here otherwise. Seriously, top notch.read more

Great atmosphere, friendly barbers and a very friendly dog. Staff is very accommodating and wait wasn't too long when I went in the morning hours. Cut took about 20 mins and was fairly priced at $20.

This is my second time going to Anthony's. My first haircut was done by Dani, who was amazing. And, while I was hoping she'd be there today, I got an equally fabulous haircut from Becca, who was awesome! Despite having gone to the same stylist at Super Cuts, they still managed to screw up my hair. At Anthony's, you can't go wrong, no matter who cuts your hair. They now have a loyal customer in me. I absolutely love this barber shop. Not only are the prices great, but their staff is also amazing. My son has a learning disability so he has problems communicated sometimes. Anyone that has cut his hair at Anthony's has been very nice and patient with him. He is even to the point that he likes to go in alone and I stay in the car which is a big step, and I thank the great staff!read more

Great place to go for a haircut, I've been going here for many years. Only drawback is they list 6 pm as closing, but if you aren't there in the building by 430, they start locking up the doors. So make sure you are there at least 90 minutes before closing which is annoying to have to do, but otherwise you're going to waste your trip there.I don't know how to reply to the owner who answered me, but it happened at 5:10 pm on Monday May 8thread more

Great barber shop. I moved to the area recently and was long over due for a haircut. After being disappointed in the decreasing quality of the large chains, my friend suggested going here and I'll be a loyal customer for years to come. I HAVE NOT HAD A BAD HAIRCUT FROM THEM ONCE. they do such a great job everyone in there always does their best, one time they were closed and I went somewhere else and biggest regret. Came back and they fixed it the best they could and made it look better. Just went today for a haircut and Danielle (sorry if this is not how its spelled) did an amazing job and cut it exactly how I wanted. Will never trust any other barber. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!read more

Anthony’s is an old school barber yet very modern cuts. No appointment just walk in take a number sit down and wait. They do get busy so don’t be in a rush. They are worth the wait though. Old school pricing with great service. It was June 19, 2023 just two barbers a young lady and young man with about five guys ahead of me. I wish I knew the young man’s name he is a quiet guy and amazing job. I got both a hair cut and shave for 27.00 plus I nice tip because he did a great job. I like hair cut always do here. The shave was spot on amazing. He paid such detail to the shave and trim of my goatee. Extreme professional looks amazing. I have paid anywhere from 30 to 100 dollars for a professional in many cities from New York Philadelphia Miami etc and this young man’s shave was right up there with top shaved I have gotten. I recommend both the hair cut and shave. I have never been disappointed at Anthony’s. It isn’t fancy just great cuts.read more

I swung by Anthony’s one morning while in town for the holidays. I arrived around 8:30 and there was one barber working. By the time I left, there were three. There was a bit of a wait as the shop filled up quickly, but it was only 20 minutes or so. A barber named either Bella or Becca (sorry, can’t remember) took me as a walk-in and did a great job! She was even very understanding when I had to run across the street to the ATM afterward because I didn’t realize it was a cash-only shop. Great cut at an affordable price with friendly conversation to boot. Highly recommend!read more
